We used Feast India events for our wedding catering as they were highly recommended to us. The journey started off pretty well in terms of service, the team seemed pretty easy to work with and quite flexible and we thought the process with them would be easy. Unfortunately that was not the case. As the event got closer and closer the team became pretty difficult to work with, we were constantly unclear of what was happening, meetings which we were promised were delayed. We could never have a clear indication on costs and random costs kept coming up, which made the situation very unpleasant. We were promised that the people we were working with would be there on the day of the event but they were not (the guy they did send was brilliant BTW!). We were also promised things like recommendations for how many drinks to purchase, but the recommendations never actually made it to us, only promises.
In terms of food, they have a very big range of offerings and do create customised menus which we did appreciate. However, we had to do a lot of back and forth with the team and the chefs to get the flavour of the food right, as well as the presentation. I was pretty disappointed at the fact that they could not deliver a simple salad as we had requested it. Even then, our guests were not the most impressed with the food on the day unfortunately.
The team told us one thing they would absolutely not compromise on is the service on the day. The biggest shock was hearing from our guests that wedding favours weβd paid Β£100βs for were THROWN away by the staff. It was pretty obvious that those were wedding favours and not items to throw when clearing tables.
There was also an issue with food waste, we were adamant on food not being wasted and offered to sign any waivers needed for food to be packed and distributed to our guests and staff, although we managed to come to an agreement on this, it was not something I expected to deal with on the day of my wedding.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the money I paid and...

We booked well in advance, paid a deposit, and even discussed decorations beforehand, but from the very first call, it was not it. We werenβt allowed any of our preferred spots to fit all 30 guests, and when we arrived, the staff refused to give us a corner for decorations. They made a huge fuss about us sticking a single βHappy Birthdayβ sign, claiming βpaint might peel,β even though they provided the blue tack themselves. Permission was only given after pleading, but EVERY waiter still kept coming over to complain as if we were doing something wrong.
The food was another huge disappointment. Feast India used to be one of our favourites, but the buffet has gone downhill, dry, cold, and with very limited options. We also asked for jugs of water since we had 30 people, including kids, but were flatly REFUSED and IGNORED. Instead, we had to keep walking across the restaurant for half-filled glasses of water, with no trays provided when asked.
When the kitchen was about to close, we grabbed the last bit of food, then asked for the cake to be brought out. They offered to play birthday music, which we thought was nice β but the staff just dropped it in a corner and walked off.
Then we started cutting the cake and taking pictures but within 10 minutes we were told to βtake one more pictureβ and then move to the reception area because they were closing the dining space. We barely got any time to celebrate. After paying the bill, we were told to leave the property within five minutes.
Overall, the entire experience was stressful, poorly handled, and extremely disappointing. There was no sense of accommodation, no customer service, and certainly no effort to make us feel welcome. If youβre planning a celebration here, donβt waste your time or money β unless you plan on renting the entire place, youβll just end...

I have explored buffets in the midlands and London and certainly in a better spot to compare this buffet against all others I have tried.
paobhaji, dosa, cheese cakes, gulab jamun, Pani Puri, chicken based starters and amritsari fish fry were worth enjoying.
All the curries were literally tasteless. I can't believe they call it India curries! I threw it all.
Lamb Biryani and pulao were tasteless the rice in these dishes were undercooked.
Dessert like rasmalai, kheer and ice cream had lots of essence that I felt like eating perfume not desserts. rasmalai was literally diluted with water. You can't taste a hint of Coconut in the coconut ice-cream.
The food serving dishes were not even refilled as a result a lot of starters went dry. I had to ask the staff multiple times to refill the food just so that I could get fresh food not dries and left over!
The charge/person at feast India was Β£25.99 on Saturday! This price doesn't even include any soft drinks!! The charge is highest compared to all other buffets. The service, food quality and variety are all way too low compared to other buffets in the below list.
My top recommendations of buffet in the Midlands.
