I recently visited Feasters and had an experience that I feel compelled to share. When I entered, I was the only customer, yet the service was unexpectedly slow. This was surprising and a bit inconvenient, especially given the lack of other patrons.
The prices seemed a bit steep for what was offered. I also found communication with the staff challenging, as there was a noticeable language barrier.
One of the major disappointments was the limited availability of menu items. It appeared that they were trying to offer a wide variety, but unfortunately, they didn't have many of the listed items.
Regarding the food, I was underwhelmed. The flavor was lacking, and the portions were smaller than expected. A significant issue was with the fried chicken; it was burnt on the outside yet raw inside, most people would know that that means the cooking oil is too high but these were genuinely baffled. They did replace it with chicken tenders upon my request, but, regrettably, these were also raw.
After a second complaint, they offered a refund. However, I later realized that the refund was only £5, which I don't even think covered the cost of the chicken tenders.
Post-visit, I was going to a show, instead I spent the whole event throwing up raw chicken in the toilets. Another £50 wasted.
Every aspect of my visit was appalling. As a new establishment, this is dangerous practice and they need educating on how to run a restaurant or...
Read moreReally unpalatable takeaway and we were lied to. The chef put extra hot sauce all over the chicken, after we asked for lemon & herb. He came out at one point saying ‘hot?’ and seemed surprised when we said no, Lemon & Herb. It said L&H on the receipt and we heard the nice young man on the till tell them the order. Then they went back into the kitchen for a long time (maybe trying to wipe off the hot sauce and adding lemon& herb). We checked again before leaving, that this was the correct sauce and they lied, saying yes, yes it’s lemon & herb. Got it home where we found out it was painfully burning hot sauce. Parts of the chicken were also uncooked. Also we changed our minds about eating in as there’s a kebab machine in the restaurant that makes screaming high pitched sounds like metal scraping on metal. The veg dish was not fresh and was completely covered in a sickly and strangely bright red sauce. We threw it away It’s the 3rd time we’ve tried to eat there as it’s local and would love to support it but it’s never been satisfactory and they need to fix...
