Fego Restaurant Sunningdale — Restaurant in England

Popped in to get a breakfast with my husband and sadly we were very disappointed with the waitress serving. She ignored us and did not serve us until we waved our hands frantically. Finally, we made our order of coffees, croissant and breakfast… again, we waited 20mins for coffees…. But just then the coffees and breakfast came out together?! My husband asked about his croissant… “oh it’s just coming” obviously there’s no point in having it now… it all should have come 15mins before our cooked breakfast with our coffees! Anyway, the breakfast was shocking?! To my surprise… eggs over cooked. Bacon completely black burnt! Truffle potato rosti.. was not that at all! Potato cakes came with nothing… i queried this and the waitress brought me truffle oil and Parmesan cheese on the side?! By this time I was done! I asked for my bill for the coffees and I was leaving. Kasia the manager came to speak with us and let me tell you. She was very very nice and sad that this had happened to us. She said please let me help and change your view of Fego. She made us new coffees, breakfast and apologies. Honestly, the breakfast came out perfect so did the potatoe cakes! She stopped to talk to us and say thank you for giving us the chance and hope to see us again. Just as we were going to leave she gave us cakes as special treat! Please be serious Fego Restaurant in Sunningdale. I’d be ashamed to offer to my customers this piece of bread with avocado layer and 2 poached eggs on top for £12.95!! Not being funny , but I did called the waitresses and asked is anything missing from the dish , land she awkwardly replied No. Apparently you charge £3 extra on top for additional ingredients i.e smoked salmon ( funny enough everywhere I eat that dish comes with it on same price )Clearly your staff member seen my complaint and I was told “ that’s the menu policy “. On top of that I was charged the service charge in my bill without been asked if I was ready to pay for after what happened. Eventually I did paid the service charge, in the end isn’t the waitress’s fault . Unfortunately not my greatest experience in this little breakfast shop in Sunningdale village . I’m sure the owners can do better ( apparently they are according to reviews ) but in my case I felt completely disappointed with the dish appearance and quality of the portion size .

This review has been coming for a while but this last order - enough. Once again, ordered for collection and order is missing 3 out of 4 item that we have been ordered. This is not a first time when this place have forgotten essential items. More than not they cannot deal with business and make you wait unreasonable extra time for collection. Wasn't situation this time but it has happened before. I understand they will refund, which is very appreciated but tell that to the hungry children that that's ok, their lunch will be refunded. Which just means it's massive waste of time to even bother coming here. Last time (just before Christmas) when we went for brunch the smashed potatoes only had skin, no potato. They replaced it after we paid for our meal.!!!! Food is swimming in grease (example: Ranchero) and has lost all its flavours. Small errors constantly build up. One in Ascot is much better quality and overall experience so wouldn't waste my time coming or ordering...
