Lovely Sunday lunch out today with the family. My youngest had a lamb shank roast, my oldest had beef, I had chicken, and this came with Mash, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnip Yorkshire pudding aswell as green seasonal veg a lovely home made Sunday roast out, my husband opted for cheese and onion pie with homemade chips and beans which he really enjoyed. It's definitely worth another visit. We arrived not long after 12 o clock for lunch by the time we left after 1 it was filling up with more people for food. The owner and staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you to enjoy the time we spent in the pub. Anybody wishing to visit check before you go as they are closing for some refurbishment within this next month, they said as we were leaving. Terrible customer service. Arrived here, sat down looking at the menu waiting to be served not realising it wasn’t table service, but they did see me enter and reading the menu. Only timo find out after waiting for some time that they stopped serving food 2 Minutes ago! I kindly explained I had been here for 10-15 minutes waiting to be served and requested the speak to the chef to make allowances due to arriving and reading the menu 10 minutes before they stopped serving only to be refused. Superb place. We go to the quiz and it is brilliantly organised and thoroughly researched to make a full evening's entertainment and you can win points,and of course, points make prizes! Great atmosphere and food provided. I don't drink but apparently the beer is good. Can't remember what time it starts but my advice is to look on the website and make sure you turn up early as it gets very full.
