Baileys Of Alnwick — Restaurant in England

Totally Ignored! If your a single person, then don't enter these premises. I was on my own in Alnwick and called in early on a Saturday afternoon. I was told by a young girl who met me at the entrance to take one of several available tables and was handed the menus. During the course of the next 10-15 mins, several other customers entered and were seated in the same manner as myself. However, it became apparent that all the food orders were being taken by an older person who was usually behind the counter. The other two very young members of staff, seemed to do very little, other than clear tables and clean? This older person chose to completely ignore me and went about serving all the other customers! It would have been much better if I had been told at the door, that they did not want single individuals taking up table spaces and just refused to let me enter! After 10-15 minutes being completely ignored, I simply left the cafe! As advised above, if your on your own, then do not go into this cafe as you will...

Had 3 breakfast and one ploughman's.....but oh dear. Ploughman's bread was doughy inside and cheese was dark on the edges where the air had gotten to it, but the English breakfast. No black pudding as advertised, no butter for toast but no great issue there but the fried eggs, one out of 3 ok, the other two went back for further cooking as there was lots of clear albumen on show. Eggs returned, one accepted and in the end only part eaten. The last one after 3 attemps was swimming in oil.

Well,used to love taking my child here box of toys at back for children, a real pleased.. I think times have changed ate here twice recently with family the baked potatoes were the size of peas,lots of salad which we didn't want Overpriced for baked potatoes.Cafe stinks of fried good when they are cooking, come out with the smell on your clothes and hair. Perhaps some staff have changed, not as good as it used to be! sorry Bailey's in need if a pick me up. The upside down table on the ceiling....has run...
