Me and my boyfriend ate here last night and I have to say never again. It started off well, the staff seemed nice, we were seated at our table and given our menus for the all you can eat buffet. I had previously seen online they have a vegan/vegetarian menu which I asked for to which they replied "how many vegetarian menus?" and I said 1. They gave me the menu and said usually the vegetarian menu is usually for 2 people so when I order to order 2 things at a time. Which seemed odd because it's an all you can eat buffet and while I know it's common place to only order 1 or 2 things at a time to avoid food waste it was a bit of a weird comment to say the menu is usually for 2. To which we kind of confusingly agreed. We ended up ordering two rounds of starters, which ended up being 4 small starters each (For context the portions really are quite small, when I ordered spring rolls the plate had 3 on it) me and my boyfriend then discussed if we'd move onto mains or stay on starters for a bit longer to which the waitress then came over to us and said the "manager was getting annoyed because too much was being ordered off the vegetarian menu and we shouldn't of even had it because its a minimum of 2" to which we were quite confused because we had both eaten the same amount of food and it's an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET. So we were told we could order 1 main and that would be it and next time if we want the vegetarian menu we both have to order from it. Absolutely abysmal service and to be made to feel uncomfortable that the "manager is annoyed" because you're ordering food from an all you can eat buffet and we've barely eaten anything is shocking. Especially because the buffet isn't exactly cheap to start with and it wasn't explained to us properly at all when we asked for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLovely looking place inside and out but the food we had was bland and tasteless. We had tofu curry, King prawn curry, vegetable fried rice and vegetable noodles. I do not know what the chef had done with those prawns but they were not like any other I've ever had. They were mushy . You could say that there was a good portion of them but that did not make up for the tasteless mush. The prawn curry was literally just made up of the prawns curry sauce and onion. All of the dishes were plain and bland with hardly any taste or spice and a paltry amount of vegetables. How difficult is it to just put a few dessert spoons worth of vegetables within each portion. I know we are in hard times but pack up if you're going to be that tight. Maybe if you dine in unlike us with our takeaway you could be in for a better experience. You do get free prawn crackers but this sweetener would never make it good for us. The service was quick for takeaway. We do not know about the atmosphere within the restaurant but because of the lack of enjoyment even eaten in my own house I give one star. I do not recommend any dishes as we will not be going back. I would only normally give a review if I have a good review to give but this was worth doing for the bad review considering there is so many other good oriental takeaways. I know I should have taken photos to back this up but I can assure you they would be nothing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think this is quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway Iāve ever had and Iām ashamed to say I paid over Ā£40 for it!
So first off, all of the food was cold
The mixed hors d'oeuvres were just a disgrace. The crispy seaweed had half a bag of sugar on it, the chicken satay and ribs were so meagre and the meat just fell off when you picked it up - not in a good way like it had been cooked for hours on end but more like itās days old and reheated.
The spring rolls were doughy and barely any vegetables on them and the prawn toast was chewy and stale.
The Singapore rice noodles were anaemic and stank and the fried chilli beef was just a congealed orange lump which somehow had overcooked beef and undercooked veg.
I have no idea how this place is in business if they are turning...
