Fox and Hounds — Restaurant in England

I have frequented the Fox for many years and through many Landlords. At the moment they are not doing food, normally dishes that would overwhelm the largest of appetites. Right now with Brendan and Debbie manning the place on their own under Covid restrictions it's a haven that is very welcome. To aid capacity they have erected a large Marquee in the car park, put in a one way system and seating rules (break the rules at your peril Deb will see to that). Nice traditional pub which has the feel of an old local but cleaner and comfier.

The food was a little pricy but is way beyond pub grub and worth the price imo. Good selection of whiskies and Gins too.

Great and friendly service with great atmosphere. Big brass last orders bell and a pool table too. Exactly the kind of pub my dad took me to when I was younger.

When we got there it was empty too so this could well be one of Swindon's hidden gems!

Lovely little pub! We was in the bar area as you enter, there's a NHS track and trace code also a sign in form if you don't have the app. We was seated and all service was done at the table, they aren't running food at the moment but it's a wonderful place for a drink. 2 beautiful dogs as well. Staff where wonderful service was quick and good...
