Franco's Restaurant — Restaurant in England

We booked a table with it being a Friday evening, but when we arrived the place was empty bar one table of four. Loud music playing and nobody on front of house to greet us or serve at the bar. Finally we were told to pick a table! Menus were handed to us, and while perusing, I noticed the state of the table cloth. Not clean at all, even with it being made of paper! Drinks were finally served, although the water we requested did not appear. The food came out, and the pizzas were delicious. Side salad was a bit lame with slight browning on the lettuce! After finishing whilst waiting for the bill, one of the employees was happily cleaning a table,squirting cleaning fluid on everything, including the cutlery and wiping everything with the same cloth. As if this wasn't bad enough, he'd knocked a fork onto the floor, which he put straight back on the table. I think hygiene needs to be looked into. A great shame as it used to be a great...

Dissatisfied disappointing and dull

Fried Brie starter served with wrapper still attached under the breadcrumbs first fail Main course should have consisted of smoked salmon, came with tasteless salmon fillet flakes, when questioned it was because they had ran out of smoked salmon! If that’s the case you should advise your guest and check if an alternative choice is required, not just serve it and hope they don’t say anything! The waitress service was ok The atmosphere was lacking Water for the table serviced in what appeared to be a recycled jack Daniels bottle. Went to francos as we have lived in Broadstone for many years and never been thier and to be honest I wasn't that impressed, The guy who served us didn't really seemed bothered that we were thier, I didn't want a starter but the person i was with did she orderd garlic bread and what did she get a toasted roll with a bit of butter on it that she said didn't even taste of garlic. She had the Risotto for her main course and she said was tasteless but I will say I had chicken with bacon and cheese and some sort of sauce that I cant remember what it was but that wasnt half bad dont think we will be going back...
