Frydays fish and chips — Restaurant in England

I have used Frydays as my main go to take away since first calling in, the food is always very good and as fresh as you can ask for, they are very happy to give menu information and work with dietary needs if they can.

The staff have always had a smile and a warm welcome when ever i have called in, no matter the time, even taking time to get to know my name and having a general conversation when ever they have time while making up orders, even taking time to help my stricken vehicle when it decided it liked being there so much it refused to start to go home :)

The food is not greasy / oily unlike a lot of other take away places in the local surrounding area.

unfortunately i can only give 5 stars however for customer service, menu variety and overall cleanliness i would happily give them more.

one last thing, our pup loves the sausage and if could talk would i'm sure ask to go back...

This place is very unprofessional and I felt very targeted as a young woman. I am on holiday and saw this place, I thought it looked nice so I walked in. When I got inside the man at the counter yelled at me that the place is closed (even thought the signs outside said they were open and the place was full of people). This would have been fine, except the manner in which he spoke to me was appalling and the fact that the place was very clearly open. I have spoken to some friends that had been there before and I am now glad that I had not been able to eat there as the fish is apparently inedible and the chips are all soggy. Please do not eat here unless you want to feel ill. The price is also apparently awful. I will never be going there again and would recommend you...

Not sure what has happened to this place but it has honestly gone downhill. We used to order maybe twice a week but will never return despite it being down the road. We had cheesy chips, battered sausage and my partner a kebab wrap with cheese, we were not once asked out prefences/dietary needs for salad or sauce like everywhere else offers. The chips were overcooked and barely contained any cheese. Sausage looked and tasted like it had been sat there all day. Staff have been the same since last year so can’t even blame staff changes, tho they were all stood on their phones ignoring customers. Will not be returning as have had multiple occasions where they have been this poor, shame really as they used to be so good.
