We did enjoy our afternoon tea for 2 🙂 the food was nice and homemade. To make the experience better would be to clearly state on the website or fb page that it is cash only or bank transfer. The only way i found out was reading a review from 10 months ago. We don’t tend to carry £30+ cash on us and not everyone has access to online banking. Also the coffee wasn’t the hottest, once poured had to drink straight away as wasn’t that warm. We asked for another one but wasn’t that much warmer so have to rush down the coffee before it got even colder. If wasn’t for this I wouldn’t have had any negatives regarding the meal.

Loved it, came for my sister's birthdays and it was lovely. Busy and bustling, but tables were cleared quickly when people left. The selection of food was great, all homemade which is what I want when I have afternoon tea and it came with crisps yaaay. I'm not sure what it is about crisps, but I think they should be on an afternoon tea, they add a nice accompaniment to the sandwiches. A nice balance of sweet and savoury and plenty of tea. It had a lovely atmosphere too, I will definitely return, thank you.

Hi sorry you didn't get my review , in November of last year my sister surprised us by taking us to the garden village cafe as the wife and myself have our birthdays in the same month we where treated to after noon tea which includes sandwiches with different fillings plus quiches of all kinds and a selection of buns along with hot drinks the staff are very helpful and friendly thanks to them all , and we would recommend it to anyone

I treated my Mum to afternoon tea today; she was at a bit of a loose end, as her great grandchildren are on holiday...

Fabulous food. I was very impressed with the imaginative selection of vegetarian options on offer, which we both enjoyed (even though Mum's not a veggie). We couldn't possibly eat the whole tea, and were given a nicely boxed-up "doggy bag", which was a welcome touch.

Very friendly, efficient staff. Lovely surroundings. Food served on pretty china crockery.

Extremely good value for £10 each. Hope to return very...

I have started to go there for a weekly treat of some of the scones they sell. The scones are among the best I've ever tasted and are always soft and of a decent size. The ladies who obviously run the cafe are always really pleasant and nice to chat to as they serve me.Although I haven't used the cafe, the food I see being cooked looks of a high standard and value for money. For the scones alone I would recommend this little treasure of a place tucked away from the masses. Sometimes the best places are the ones you don't know about till...
