Was told by numerous people that Hucks is the best place to eat within a Centre Parcs. Trying to book in advance was proving difficult and nothing was available at the time. Once we'd arrived for our stay slots had opened up in the online booking so the wife dived in to get us a slot. A deposit of £5 per person was needed and that was taken from your bill once you paid. Our table was for 8:45pm which for me is normally a tad late to eat a big meal, but you're on holiday, so it doesn't count! I'd describe this place as a TGI Fridays. Similar menu and vibe to the place. Very American. Food wise, I thought it was spot on. I went for the sirloin steak. And BBQ wings as a starter. Wife went her usual route of Nachos and fajitas. Can have no complaints over either meal, both were fantastic. Service was also spot on. What I really liked about this place was that they did a 4 pint pitcher of soft drink for £7.89 which is great value as a large glass is £3.19 So much better doing it that way! I'd recommend here if you're staying. It's a must!

The fillet steak was cooked beautifully, but the meal could have been served hotter. The ribs were lovely, served nice and hot but the chips were luke warm. The desserts were a bit of a disappointment. The hot fudge sundae was mostly a glass of cream...not much of any other ingredient and presentation not great...for the price, very disappointing. The warm cookies and icecream went down well. I have rated a 4 star as the main parts of the meal were pretty good and the service was good also.

☀️First Night Meal☀️ Got to go to Huck's on the first night 🤣🤤🍟 I had Chicken Fajitas and my better half had vegetable Fajitas. There was plenty, the food was hot, cooked lovely and the drinks weren't bad either. The kids ate off the children's menu, 3 course meal deal. Service was good and the staff were really helpful and also gave us loads of info. about this particular Parc. Good access ♿ and free WiFi Would recommend Thanks for hosting us ❤️💪☀️🤩

Very Poor experience indeed from start to finish. Food was particularly bad and so was the service. It’s probably one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Especially when you consider the cost as well, based on the quality of the food. Just basic things like drinks weren’t even right. I ordered 2 adult meals and 1 child’s meal. I had a burger with fries and my wife had the Chicken. My burger was very average and chewy, no flavour or seasoning as it was bland and a poor quality meat. As for the brioche bun that resembled cardboard. Most of the ingredients have all obviously been frozen and have been defrosted. I’m not sure if any actual cooking goes on in this restaurant? Is seems that they just heat up frozen food? I’m not naive, I expect some elements to be frozen, but not most of it? My wife’s Chicken was very much the same story. Even the Diet Coke I ordered was flat. So I complained and it was replaced and within 5 minutes it was completely flat again. I’m not sure what was going on there ? As for the service, well that was bad too. The food was literally slammed onto the table and the waitress just rushed off without even checking if we needed condiments or anything else. They didn’t even seem that busy? We were left without knives and forks to even eat our food! Then after the food was brought out and slammed on the table, we had to wait an eternity to then ask if we could get some ketchup or mayonnaise etc. The food bill came to nearly £48 for 2 adults and a 3 year old. Suffice to say we won’t be returning any time soon. In fact, I feel so strongly about it, that I would urge anyone considering eating here...

Hucks doesn’t even deserve the one star review…!

Such a shame as the new waiter who served us on the day was incredible, despite the horrendous food that we eventually received.

We waited approx. 50 mins for nacho starters which when arrived were cold and had to be sent back, when they came back they were still cold and one of the two we ordered was missing some of the ingredients including the sauce!!

We then had to chase our mains, including the children’s meal for a young baby, which was about 2hrs after ordering it. When chased this miraculously appeared very quickly, the children’s meals were hot but the adults meals were stone cold!

The New York strip was very expensive and was nothing but gristle and stone cold. The prawn fajitas did not come with many prawns, the chicken burger was greasy and cold. The ribs weren’t too bad but were cold. The chips came out cold and inedible. The pork belly ribs were also stone cold. The vegetables which we swapped for one of the kids meals was not changed as requested.

The only positive for the meal was that the drinks were ok and the server that we had (who was obviously a new starter) was very attentive and apologetic. Other tables around us also clearly had issues and sent food back on numerous occasions during our three hour stay…!

The only hot food we received was the kids cookies and ice cream!!

In conclusion, we definitely will not be coming back to Hucks which has put a dampener on our first...

We visited Hucks in centre parc for a meal, and while the experience had its highlights, it started off on a frustrating note. After being seated, a waiter initially came by, but after that, we were left waiting for drinks. About 10 minutes passed before they arrived, and then another 45-50 minutes went by without anyone checking in on us. Despite staff walking around, no one seemed to notice that we hadn’t ordered our food.

Eventually, I had to get up and speak to the staff, which is always an awkward situation. Once I explained that we had been waiting for nearly an hour, they were very apologetic and quickly made things right. We later found out that the original waiter had gone on break and inform his colleagues to take over, which led to the mix-up.

To their credit, the team was very understanding once they realized the issue. They took a percentage off our bill as a goodwill gesture and made sure the rest of our evening went smoothly. It was a birthday dinner, and they made up for the rough start by bringing out a cake and singing happy birthday, which was a nice touch.

Overall, we’re giving Hucks three stars. The staff handled the situation well once they became aware of it, but the long initial wait and lack of communication left us feeling neglected. Hopefully, it was just a one-off miscommunication, but it did put a damper on the start...
