I really don't like leaving bad reviews of businesses and normally only review to encourage people to go to a place (see my other reviews) , but i had to write this review. I'm a big fan of indian food and look forward to trying new places, however, i was really disappointed with the food from here. To start every dish was swimming in oil, even the birianyi! I ordered pistachio panneer chilli masala, because I was interested in the addition of pistachio, however, there was no discernable flavour of pistachio to this dish, indeed no discernable taste of anything. The panneer was incredibly bland. The sauce (chilli masala) was watery and tasted of nothing in particular, not even the usual garlic and ginger undertones, it wasn't even spicy. Back to the birianyi, I ordered a chicken birianyi. The chicken was dry, the rice lacking in flavour despite swimming in oil. I will say the best part of the meal was the veg dansak that comes with the birianyi, the veg in the curry was fresh as opposed to the frozen veg that lots of Indian restaurants use. Finally, there was a side of saag aloo. I am a huge fan of saag aloo, but again this was oily, watery potatoes, and a very bland saag. Sadly, after having a taste of everything it was binned. To the restaurant: if you think you had a bad night at the office and would like to make amends...
