Best food I've ever had in my life. It was like having a "food orgasm" ! Ordered red Thai curry, green Thai curry and the Massaman curry with a friend after dim sum starter and we ate till we were so full we couldn't move lol. Almost wished I had a spare stomach so I could eat more! Service was excellent and a truely delightful experience I can't wait to repeat. I suggested to the staff they should offer customers a £1 discount for every pond they put on in weight after eating there. I'm sure I put on several in one sitting. The vegetables and garnish was elaborately presented as cut locus blossoms and other gorgeous flowers and almost too pretty to eat. We felt welcome and attended to for our every need and glasses were refilled for us before we even had a chance to ask. Staff were friendly cheerful and made us feel relaxed and at home. Beautiful decor and atmosphere and most definitely my favorite place to eat from now on. I would eat there every week if I lived closer and could afford to order everything on the menu. For me the highlight was the dim sum starter. Dim sum is my favorite dish but not often available at many Chinese or take away Thai restaurants in my area and those who do have it on the menu rarely do it the way proper high quality dim sum should be cooked. Only had proper dim sum in Chinatown Soho and once in a restaurant in Ruislip,London. The dim sum we had at Tudor House was quite different to any I've tried before in the Chinese versions, but WOW, it was a taste experience that made my t pallet and taste buds purr in delight and I was lost for words. The Massaman curry was also a big winner for me and my favorite of the main courses we tried. If I were to score the food, the service and atmosphere it would have to be 10 ** but only 5 stars available to tick so top full marks then and so the staff and owner of Tudor House can know how much we appreciated their food and service that we didn't think there are enough stars so we give up u 5 more. Lol. Look forward to our next meal there. Thank you to all of you....
Read moreWorst Thai meal I have ever had We were so looking forward to trying this establishment after positive reviews ...the set menu B was chosen The 1st course arrived .accompanied by the extra oily grease on the chicken piece and fish cake and the other two items' squeezable oily batter topping...the spare rib had very little meat on the bone however the saving grace it was not greasy The meat in the main dish was dry although the sauce surprisingly tasted as you would expect They managed to make the rice ok, The Thai green curry although edible could have come from a ready meal. The dessert was awful; mango in rice pudding. I would not return even if you paid me. I raised my concerns ..and the service charge was removed so we were charged £60.90. The owner explained he had been in business for 20 years. I should have pressed him regarding what business that had given him twenty years of experience as it certainly wasn't customer service or quality food ...very disappointing.... With regards to the the response by the owner we did not clean the plates as suggested and left most of the lamb..regards the starters I did mention this to waiter and left most of mine and we did not eat any of one of the main dishes ..in contrast we certainly had not made up our mind before seating and if you look at reviews I leave, they are positive...
Read moreThis restaurant was newly added on ubereats so I was excited to try as there aren’t many good options where I live. For starters, I ordered the Goong tempura and Chicken satay and for mains I got the Special fried rice and Tamarind duck. Starters were perfect, came with sauces which were also lovely. The Special fried rice however had tomatoes and pineapple bits in it which completely threw me off. It would be great if they were listed in the one liner on UberEats for people with allergies/preferences. The Tamarind duck tasted lovely but the portion was definitely small...
