Read moreWent for breakfast on 5/3/22. Terrible. 2/4 of us are on low carb diets. We usually can swap items. I asked if I could swap and was told bluntly "no". I could take items off but not swap. As there were 2 more in our party I didn't argue and ordered the English breakfast. Altogether there were 3 "big boy" breakfasts and 1 smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Coffee was fine. The first to be delivered was the salmon. When the last big boy was delivered the waitress dropped off the plate a slice of toast, she actually caught it but then put it on the table and walked off. We were expecting her to come back with another but she never did. The eggs were ok. The mushrooms ok. The bacon was dehydrated rather than cooked and the sausage was a cheap chippy style sausage. The hash browns and toast looked ok but I couldn't eat them as they are high carb and I couldn't swap. The salmon was left, as it looked like it was frozen and wasn't nice. It just didn't look right. And to top it off the same waitress who refused the swap was clearing tables and dropped dirty cutlery on my son's expensive coat. Didn't even apologise. £60 it cost, and had to que to order. To put that in perspective, The Ivy in London charged us £70 a couple of weeks ago for 4 full English breakfasts that we could swap the high carb items, was waiter service, tea was in silver pots and extremely pleasant. We will never be visiting this over priced, rude and slightly dirty cafe ever again. Which is a shame as it is in a lovely spot. But that is the problem, they have the footfall so don't have to try and I don't believe...
Read moreI must express my disappointment due to the abysmal level of service I encountered.
I want to emphasize that I am a regular customer of Jazz Cafe and have always enjoyed the quality of music and the ambiance of the place. However, my last visit has drastically changed my opinion of your establishment.
Upon arriving at Jazz Cafe, I noticed that the staff was disorganized and unfriendly. Despite the place not being full, I had to wait an unreasonably long time to be served. The waitress showed no interest in attending to my needs and was rude throughout the entire encounter. I waited excessively long for my ordered dishes, and when they were finally served, they were stale and undercooked.
Not only was the service unsatisfactory, but the cleanliness inside the premises left much to be desired. The tables were dirty, and the floor seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time. This is unacceptable for a place that aspires to be a venue of elegance and culture.
The dissatisfaction I felt stemmed from the fact that basic customer service standards were not met. I expect the staff to be courteous and professional, and I did not experience any of these qualities during my last visit.
Considering my long-standing loyalty to Jazz Cafe, I kindly request that action be taken to rectify the situation. I expect an apology for what transpired and assurance that such incidents will not occur in the future. Furthermore, I request that steps be taken to improve the quality of service and the cleanliness inside...
