Today I was visiting Weston Favell and decided to have lunch at Jenny's.
When I was working at Weston Favell I was always in Jenny's. I found it a great place to eat.
Today not so, 11/10/25.
I went in and took a seat in the corner of the restaurant. I was on my own. I looked at the menu and knew what I wanted. A waitress looked at me and ignored me. She walked passed my table and still ignored me. I held up the menu and still no service. I counted 3 waiters and 1 waitress standing around.
The waitress looked over at me, instead of coming over to me she went to the other side of the room to a waiter, who was wiping down a table and said something to him and he handed the cloth to her and came over to my table. By this time I had been waiting about 10 minutes.
A family of 3 came in after me and got served more or less straight away. Server by a waiter and the waitress
My meal was lovely. Good portions. Peri, peri chicken wings and chips with garnish with orange juice. After eating i was again waiting for someone to come to my table. The waitress came took my plate away, she did not even asked me if I wanted anything else, and still left me waiting.
5 minutes later my waiter came to my table and I explained to him what had happened. I told him I was not happy with the service. I ordered a dessert, it was bought to me by another waiter. I eat my dessert and soon after went and paid for my meal.
Overall I was not happy with the service and I will not be going back.

As soon as we sat down and without given a chance to look at the menus, we were pestered by the waitress asking if we were ready to order. After telling her to give us a few minutes, she returned within about 30 seconds and asked us again if we were ready to order. Again we asked for a few minutes. When she returned I ordered Salmon Pasta, to which she replied, we don't have any pasta other than Spaghetti Bolognese - which would have been nice to have been told when we were first approached. They didn't have the drink that I ordered, nor were they willing to make adjustments to our meals, such as changing the sesame seeded bun to a plain bun. Feeling rushed, I didn't bother ordering a drink and settled for a side order of garlic bread and grilled Halloumi cheese. When the food arrived it didn't come out at the same time resulting in me finishing my meal before the rest came out. When my wife's grilled chicken breast came out, she described it as having an unusual crunchy texture. The service was totally shocking and the food was very poor. When paying, they asked how everything was. So we told them. There was no offer to rectify the issues or to reduce the bill. We do not recommend Jenny's / Frango Grill and we will definately NOT be returning...
Read moreMy mum and I have been regular customers at Jenny's Weston Favell for many years, but sadly, we will not return again. When we visited the restaurant last week, on a quiet Friday afternoon, a waiter (blonde haired man) continuously paced around, right by our table. I'm not just talking once, I mean for the most part of (trying) to enjoy our meal and outing together. I'm not one to moan, but this was very distracting and annoying. It was constant, back and forth. There was no need for it, as I said, the restaurant was quiet and there was no motive for him doing this, other than looking out of the glass door, watching passers-by. I've worked in the food industry in the past, and we were taught to leave customer's to eat in 'peace'. Should any issues arise, allow them to consult staff. You do not pace around by their table.
Because our table was situated on the edge near the entrance/exit, toward the end of our meal, the waiter held the door open for two customer's. Rather than stand the opposite side of our table, he stood inches away from us, facing our way. I had to turn my head away, it felt as though he was on top of us. Bearing in mind at this point, we were still eating.
Obviously, I don't expect a Ritz style restaurant, but just basic mannerisms and etiquette...
