Jester's Bistro & Coffee Lounge Raunds — Restaurant in England

When I lived in raunds and they reopened this gem the new owners done it for the right reasons to bring healthy, fresh, locally sourced food to the table. Yes it comes across as just another British cafe sitting on the sidelines but it is so much more. a friendly staff welcomes you from the get go non of this silly fancy four star welcome but a genuine welcome to my home welcome. always attentive and forever pushing the boundaries of hospitality to make sure you are fully catered for and are happy with the service you are provided with. I have eaten here on several occasions and not one have they missed a beat and when I say fresh I mean fresh you can actually taste each ingredient and it pleasures the pallet not like other small great cafes this is the backwater gem you are always hungry to find. with its unique approach to all that is British comedy and British its self it offers a great warm friendly service with fresh food to boot. I always wondered what happened to those great little cafes in England with their fresh cooking and hearty breakfasts but now I know they still exist you just have to look that little harder. But wait I'm not finished just yet this is not only a great British breakfast serving cafe but a unique bistro that serves up some of the most delightful evening meals and yes it is a late opener and also caters for all those special events. Food was very good but the service absolutely awful. Probably one of the worst experiences I have had in cafe in my lifetime. Seriously, I do not wish to sound negative, I am a caterer myself and believe me if I feel I have to give a low score there is very good reason to . 35 minutes waiting before we received our food . After nearly 15 minutes I went up to the bar area and attempted to place my order !!. I was told to wait by the waitress and she would come over and take my order I will not return If I bump into the proprietor of the cafe I will be more than happy to share the experience, totally un acceptable . Everyone in the cafe had to wait over thirty minutes for their food . One couple were told to wait at a table for two and sat there for over twenty minutes and their order was not even taken ! For a start , if the food is coming out slow fair enough, but for goodness sake serve the drinks beforehand . Over 15 minutes before , that is definitely over 15 minutes before drinks were on the table . My tea was piping hot - my tea was cold before the food arrived !!. Poor show , very...

Jester's Bistro Bar ❤️ On Sunday we celebrated the christening of our little girls at St Peter’s Church followed by a fantastic lunch at Jester’s. There was 25 of us in total and everyone loved the food & the milkshakes. All the meals were fresh & hot & delicious which is not an easy task when you have lots of different variations on the meals with requests for items to be swapped etc. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t have been more accommodating!
