Thursday 16th December 21: We had lunch here with our friends and it was a great experience... The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Do suggest that you book ahead for a group as bigger tables could all be taken etc.. The cauliflower cheese and mushrooms, sweet potatoes and spinach soups were very tasty and delicious. Along with our soups, we a had prawn sandwich, a cheese melt, a panini and mine was the Toasted BLT. All freshly made and delicious too. The decor is attractively decorated which imparts a very warm and cosy atmosphere. Their wines were very good although maybe suggest a bigger selection of beers but especially an improvement on the current ales...such fantastic local micro-brewed ales around that deserve being here. The Joule's Brewery is just a 3 minute walk away so I'm sure you could approach them! Friday's fish lunch specials menu looks outstanding and definitely worth a visit here for a lunch session! Overall, it was a lovely lunch and experience. Thanks to all the staff and cheers Lauren for attentive and friendly service. Would recommend this cafe restaurant although don't expect chips as they don't make these...However, it is dog friendly.

Popped in for a quick coffee, fancied trying a local establishment rather than the usual chains, and glad we did! The service was very friendly, the assortment of coffees was wonderful, and before we left we also found out it was dog friendly, so now we have a place to stop when walking the dogs as well (and it wasn't a dirty kind of dog friendly place either, it was very clean so you wouldn't know dogs were allowed to venture inside!) we have found our new favourite coffee shop :) Our young lads loved their babycinos too, they love places they can have a "grown up" drink like mum and dad ;)

Had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. The hot chocolate was nice, the staff were friendly and the cafe was filled with real peonies that were incredibly pretty and had a gorgeous fragrance.

A lovely little coffee house. We went in just for a glass of wine late afternoon. Not a big choice of wines but they are from their own vineyards. We tried the white; it was really tasty. Bottles of various wines can be bought in store, as can all different types of delicious looking preserves. The explanations of each wine were displayed by the bottes on the shelves. I did feel the same explanation could have been added to the menu instead of just white, red, or rose, for example. The fact that the wine is from their own vinyard is such a major selling point I was disappointed not to have easily read more about the flavours in them. They have a product to be very proud of, and should shout it from the rooftops! Their Facebook page has some great information, perhaps a short explanation could be placed with the menu for people who have no idea about the family run company.

The food aromas were very enticing. The venue had a good choice. I know from previous visits that the food is good quality and always delicious. I totally recommend.

Also, it is dog friendly for...
