UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER Nothing has changed! Whenever we've retried it's the same story. The hot drink machine is broken. Local staff powerless to fix this. One year ago KFC's social media team responded with a copy-and-paste platitude. Come on KFC management, somebody actually pull their finger out and fix the problem with a new functional machine. Let me know when you've DONE something... No more social media empty appeasement responses! Update ends. Original post from over a year ago and still valid:-
Drop into this place about monthly en-route on the A303. It NEVER has hot drinks available, just the fizzy pop choices. Costa, opposite, closed its doors in the evening, so I became a KFC client. Apparently the problem for KFC is some cleaning fluid for the hot drinks machine. Between Costa head office deciding that there aren't drivers in need of a break, and KFC head office not sorting out supplies for Solstice Park... we drivers are between a rock and a hard place! Don't even think about Greggs, they've no stock by early evening and close at 7 or 8. Between 3 different teams in head offices, they've managed to make Solstice even worse than a "Welcome Break"! Come on management, earn your salary, sort these petty supply problems out!!
One month on I returned on 2nd October. No hot drinks again, just fizzy pop. The reply from KFC last month was "Hi, thank you for your feedback for our KFC. We'll take your feedback onboard so that we can do better next time."
So my question is now: Which part of the KFC operation is failing? The site which is either not getting the support it needs from head-office or is just lazy about cleaning the machine... or is the social-media office of KFC just responding with platitudes but not "taking feedback on board so that we can do...
Read moreMe and my friend were particularly parched for some of the finest KFC standardz we have grown to love. However, we were deeply unsatisfied with the service we received. While we were making our order, we were given the shocking newz that they had no pop corn chickenz. Whilst dealing with a life changing dilemma - we settled for 2 fillet burger mealz accompanied by 3 boneless piecez each. When we got to the window we were handed ONE box meal which we shortly realised was the incorrect meal all together. (We had one of them big daddyz in a box.) After waiting approximately 2 weekz, they asked for the incorrect meal back which was very saddening as this was the closest thing we had to foodz and was filling my friend'z car with the sweet aroma of dem chickenz. After another week and being well and truly teased , we finally received our correct order. This lengthy ordeal was unsatisfactory and both me and friend will be living the rest of our dayz, trying to overcome our fear of going back to another KFC.

Read moreMe and my partner have been here three times now thinking we'll give them a chance to redeem themselves however the first two times we used the drive through and both times the machine didn't work, we then got told to go round again and then ended u waiting at, the back of the queue which personally I felt it was very bad customer service I mean it wasn't our fault your machine was faulty. On the third visit however we waited and ordered in the restaurant side this time and once again KFC Amesbury I am very annoyed with you. 1stly one of your staff was at the order till but then walked off when people were queuing to order with no information as to if we stand there like lemons or order elsewhere. We ordered two "box" meals and we ended up with a bag and it all, being squashed together. Also only one box of boneless chicken was in there. After waiting it took us 30 mins waiting when it only takes us 10 mins in Mcdonalds if that. Sorry but we will not be returning. Its disgusting service...
