The level of customer service I encountered was disappointing, to say the least. The manager, who was dressed in a white jumper, was dismissive and unprofessional, walking away from me while saying, “I don’t care about this, I’m done,” when I tried to provide feedback on their service. This attitude reflects poorly not only on the individual but also on the KFC brand as a whole. The staff appear disengaged and seem to be there solely for a paycheck, which ultimately harms the business.
As someone who works in customer care, I can recognise poor service when I see it. My initial reason for visiting was straightforward: I asked at the drive-thru if they had gravy available, as there have been previous occasions when it’s been substituted with beans without warning. The staff member confirmed they had gravy, so I ordered two pots. However, when I got home, I discovered they had given me beans instead.
I returned to request a full refund but was informed they could only partially refund my order because I hadn’t brought back all the items (I’d left a piece of chicken behind, which I understood). Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager refunded me in coins after I’d paid with notes, and made a sarcastic comment about the refund being “complete” before turning his back on me without offering an apology or explanation.
This experience highlights a recurring issue at KFC Paignton there always seems to be a problem with orders, and the lack of care shown is alarming. Read moreDon't get me wrong, I LOVE my KFC but this branch is a disgrace as far as the service is concerned, last week my wife went through the drive through, when she finally got to the window there's no one there!!! Went round to the other window to be told they can serve her and to go back round and start again, she gave up and went into the restaurant only to end up with loads of trouble in there along with some other customers, the whole thing took nearly half an hour, I went in my self the week before that, went through the drive through got part of my order then had ftp wait in bay 1 for the rest, 15 minutes later someone finally comes out with my order for it all to be wrong, after 10 minutes I have to go into the restaurant to find what the he'll is going on, the staff round the back where just messing around and name calling the two girl that where serving the customers and where constantly having to shout through is anything ready yet, god knows where the management is but this place is run so badly. We have to use this place as it's the only one close enough to us but they endlessly leave things out your order, I hate the place, please KFC sort...
