Sunshine Cafe — Restaurant in England

Used to be a great place for food with brilliant staff and decent portion sizes.

I ordered chips from here on 2 occasions recently... (Large chips) equate to around 15 chips in a packet...NOT what you'd expect for the price!

So today I thought I'd give them one last try, and upon pulling into the carpark and parking, I was met by a barrage of attitude by the owner, accusing me of skidding my wheels in the carpark. Had this been the case I'd have happily apologised. However THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! A mixture of a poorly gravelled carpark, large tyres and a viscous limited slip differential means that my tyres scrub slightly when turning sharply (To avoid the surplus of potholes and navigate myself around what can only be described as similar to the surface to that of the lunar landings.)

Gobsmacked by the attitude and confrontation I received, I said "If this is the attitude you treat your customers with, I'll take my buisness elsewhere".

To which the owner replied aggressively "Good get out of here then".

The rest of the staff looked very embarrassed by the new owners behaviour and I can only feel sorry for them, not only do they have to work with this man, but he will also be the reason this once thriving buisness will now fail, resulting in them soon becoming jobless!

Will never go here ever again after 8 years of giving them my buisness.

I'd urge everyone to vote with their wallets and give buisness to the local burger man (located by interline)!

This place has seriously gone...

Such a lovely couple of girls working here as I arrived one of them was outside on a break said hello took my order and offered me any table that I liked. I ended up with a breakfast and it arrived just as expected perfect. There was an empty tomato ketchup bottle on the table but they were happy to replace it when I asked. I had a motorhome being serviced in a nearby garage so had to get to the cafe on foot I thought it would be a good way of killing a little time. My only criticism was Google had the cafe on the wrong street one along from it's actual location. I tried to move the pin and update the map but don't know if it worked. If I ever come back to the area I will definitely call in here again it was a great...

I rarely leave reviews, especially not good ones, but I felt compelled to leave one here. The guys at the sunshine cafe were so nice and accommodating to me and my family. I’m not sure what I expected when I started making off menu requests, most likely some sort of surly reluctant grumble. But instead every request was greeted with a smile and total flexibility. They even made their own suggestions for changes, like adding extra cold milk to my kids’ hot chocolates, among other things.

It’s a simple cafe, nothing fancy, but the food was all lovely, as were the staff, and that’s exactly what we needed after a night of making emergency tent repairs...
