Yesterday evening i went to kfc in weston super mare drive through. The que of cars were significantly long, therefore the waiting time for orders to be placed was a good 45 minutes. Understandably the staff were working their back sides off trying to keep up with high demand. After i placed my order i was told to pull over to the side while they sort out my order. I waited more then half an hour before a woman from kfc (who i pursume was a manager) came over and apologised for the lengthy wait and explained why and how much strain they were under from all the orders! She said that she herself wanted to come out and personally explain to the customers why the wait to was so great, and offered my money back or if i continued to wait a further 15 minutes! I would have my food and 2 additional free meals the next time i attend kfc. I have instant respect for the fact that the woman came out and "directly" dealt with the customers, sincerely apologised to the customers and offered alternatives and compensation in additional food. While i was sat waiting i did see some very angry men kicking off over the wait time despite them only waiting 5-10 minutes max after ordering, despite the fact that they were warned about the wait time.... Guess some people have nothing better to do then kick off instead of using their brain and going elsewhere if they are that starving hungry and cant wait! I would like to thank kfc staff for being patient and apologetic and applaued them for not rising to questionable behaviour of customers. And a massive thank you to the woman with purple hair who came out and dealt with the customers...

I don’t usually dine in at KFC, but I decided to take my time during this visit to the Weston-Super-Mare branch. I was greeted promptly at the counter, and the staff member took my order correctly, as I specifically asked for a thigh piece of chicken. Impressively, my order was ready within seconds. However, when I checked, I noticed the wrong chicken part was given.
I asked for a replacement, and to my surprise, instead of swapping the chicken, the staff just gave me the correct part without taking back the other one—so I ended up with an extra piece. That was a nice little bonus!
However, things went downhill when I went to wash my hands. There was no hot water, no hand dryer, and the smell in the men's restroom was absolutely awful. It almost ruined my appetite. With no way to properly dry my hands, I walked out with them still wet, until a staff member noticed and kindly offered me some napkins. Small gesture, but I expected better facilities.
Overall, the service was quick and friendly, but the lack of basic hygiene amenities was a...
