Nine months ago I gave this place 5 stars, it's gradually gone downhill since. On a recent visit we used the self service screen to order two coffees and two doughnuts. While we were ordering, the staff member on duty was at the counter and looked over to us. We were the only customers in the store. Once paid, we waited at the counter but did not see the staff member. I could see the screen on the counter and the timer for our order. When it reached almost 7 minutes and still no coffee or any sign of staff, my husband leant over the counter and the man was leaning on the counter by the drive thru window reading. I had to step through the doorway and call the man twice to get his attention. He then came over, didn't say anything, just looked at the screen and finally served us, but not with any great speed He only thought to apologise as I was turning to leave, probably due to the look on my face, I wasn't happy. I can forgive a 10 minute wait on a busy day, not not when it's empty. Sadly, this isn't the first issue. Receiving the wrong drinks in the drive thru or only getting three quarter filled cups (literally paying for a large and getting a medium), large areas of seating blocked off for cleaning but no evidence of cleaning, dirty areas (same stains seen on separate visits), barely any doughnuts available in the morning (for a coffee and doughnut store, surely they should be stocked up ready for the day. I could go on but you see my point, for a store that's been open less than a year, it's pretty shoddy. Such a shame as we love Timmies and used to have to travel an hour to Cardiff to enjoy it. We've even considered returning there in future because we are always guaranteed excellent service in a...

Not a patch on the Tim Hortons experience you get in Canada

The restaurant is quite big, but the food preparation area is tiny and I think they're just trying to do too much

The aperture on the counter through which food is passed onto a small table is smaller than the window on an ice cream van, and the employee spends a while moving cups around and removing and replacing lids like they're doing some sort of magic trick before eventually passing your order through the tiny gap

It's a bit like having a group of people all stood around an ATM, waiting for some food and drink to pop out

The donuts used to be what it was all about, but now breakfasts, hotdogs, burgers, wraps and other things stretch the limits of their kitchenular space and make waiting times unacceptable.

Food is alright, but they never seem to be satisfied with their range and keep on adding more and more outrageous donut creations to the menu

I can't wait to try the new turpentine and beetroot donut

Plenty of parking outside and quite a few seats inside, but don't sit near the counter unless you like people queueing around you

Prices seem expensive, but that's probably because it's easy to get carried away and buy more than...

Slightly mixed review for me. The opening was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious and fairly priced. But the hash browns aren't that great. The white hot chocolate is nice - So is the French vanilla.. But wasn't a fan of the chai tea latte and it just tasted like normal coffee without extra flavour.

The burgers are OK.. But they took the best and most different / interesting one off the menu in my opinion (the pesto burger).. So personally I now don't see the point in spending more money there for a burger compared to other places.

The lattice fries though are really, really not pleasant. Unfortunately, they are always undercooked tasting, kind of soggyish on the outside and not crispy or crunchy at all. They've been the same every time I've had them (and I've had them a few times as they come with the burgers)..

The doughnuts are pleasant, and worth the price if you want a special treat :) They aren't cheap by any means, but nice to have one with a coffee & read a book or chat with a friend as a treat.

The staff are really nice and great service which is nice.

Overall though, I'd just prefer to go somewhere less expensive for same or in some cases better quality and know I'll...

It's no secret that Tim Hortons is competing with McDonalds. In so many ways, you could argue that there is no competing with McDonalds. But Timmy H does get it right, with a great deal many things: The coffee is amazing. The breakfast, great, and it's cheaper than MacDees. The donuts...nuff said. Oh and did I say their coffee!? Not much in the way of atmosphere here or in Fast Food joints in general. If you have to sit in though, it's clean, and it's tidy. Most importantly, the unisex toilets are always sanitary. A note for all Blue Light card holders, you get 10% off all over the counter orders. You're welcome.

Stopped in here with the hope of a tasty takeaway burger, got to be honest worst takeaway burger I have ever eaten, ended up throwing half of it away, awful flavour, really thin burgers tasted like those burgers you get at lunch in a al inclusive hotel. Wife’s chicken burger was apparently tasty and the donuts were nice, also had a strawberry milkshake which was also gross minimal flavour and the majority of it was ice. Will not be having again in a hurry. Service was relatively efficient, seats were comfy, with lots of plugs so can charge a device.

Had delivery which arrived in time stated, so Deliveroo can’t be blamed for the food arriving stone cold, chicken tender strips very small and tasteless, lattice fry’s cold, no garlic dips, no apology when told that food was cold and dips were forgotten to be packed with £19 order for two, and I state was very mini sized. The 2 iced lemonades were delicious, bu unfortunately from them, we won’t be ordering from them again.Back to Indian/Chinese and kfc/ miss milles, there’s never been a problem, and always good value for money.
