Unfortunately we had a bad experience from here for the first time, though we have been using Koh I Nor for many years without any problems.
We had our meal delivered and it tasted like it had been reheated more than once, the poppadoms where stale, the cucumber dip was curdled and sour and unedable the onion bhaji was rock hard, and the main was the same as the poppadoms, like it had been reheated more than once, basically it looked old and tasted old and was not fresh in any sense of the word. We called on the night to inform them, rather than complain publicly as this was the first time this has happened and just took it as a one off, we was offered a free replacement meal for when we next ordered, though we didn't take that offer up for 2 months or so as we wasn't in in a rush to try again after being ill for 2 days.
My decision was made tonight after our free/replacement meal was delivered that I would never eat from this restaurant again. By flook or placed, there was a pubic hair conveniently placed on our cucumber dip pot, if this was a mistake, poor hygiene then my reason to never eat from this restaurant again is justified and if the pubic hair was put there because we imformed/complained/got a free meal, then the same stands we will never eat at the Koh I Noor again,...
Read moreBeen here a few times. Food is very good, restaurant is OK, staff friendly and helpful. There's outdoor seating (I know! Indian restaurant with outdoor seating - odd) which seems like a nice idea but in fact it means I have to walk through a massive plume of cigarette smoke that also blows into the restaurant and I have to smell it all the way through my meal - not pleasant for a non-smoker). This place does the best take-away by far. If we want take-away (well, we have it delivered really) we look no further. We recently had their Sunday buffet - which would have been excellent except we turned up with an hour and a half to go and the food wasn't being replenished, it was dry and some dishes had run out completely. We dined on left-overs and dregs.
Update mid 2021: Had several takeaways lately - they seem to have hit upon the idea of cooking only two dishes and just giving you those no matter what you order. Balti isn't the usual Balti any more, it's identical to a Rezala which also isn't the usual Rezala etc etc. Shame. We'll ty again in a few months but for the moment we're giving it...

We went in as a group to try the Sunday Buffet and surprisingly it was just us when we arrived at the restaurant. The buffet had a limited menu and we expected at least a few more variety like Soup, some fresh cut fruits or Ice cream. The menu did not consist anything exciting and it was not worth for small kids(You know kids :) They expected some fruits and ice cream).
The service was a bit of a let down as there was just one person waiting the tables and he was no where seen on the floor and was at the bar at all times. We had to each time run to the bar if we had to ask anything.
The food as mentioned was not too exciting due to the limited menu. There was no mention of Vegetarian dishes on the display cards and there were no cards on the starters. The Nonveg and Veg starters were placed in the same tray and the vegetarians in our group would have liked it to be set separate.
Long story short - We would have liked a bit more variety in the menu, something to attract kids and...
