What a shame. We really like this pub and my wife and I have been coming here regularly for a long time. We persuaded my wife's sister and family to join us for a few drinks and some food. Unfortunately, we were informed by bar staff it would be an hour and a half wait on the food orders as they have had a lot of takeaway orders. The is odd on two counts. One - giving priority to takeaway orders over walk-in customers (a table of 5 in our party). And Two. The website clearly states No Takeaway. No Delivery. Yes, I am a bit confused about that one too. Anyway, they have now gone to The Prince up the road for a meal. And I am just having a pint but no food.

I’ve been coming to The Bridge in Bracknell regularly and it never disappoints. The food is excellent, with generous portions and good quality ingredients. They also run daily food deals, which makes it really good value for money. It’s not just a place for a meal or a pint – it’s also a great spot to work from during the day. The broadband is fast and reliable, and the atmosphere is relaxed but friendly, so it works really well if you need a change of scene from home. Whether you’re after a good lunch, an evening bite with friends, or a quiet place to work with strong Wi-Fi, The Bridge is spot on. Highly recommended.

Bad work lunch declining in quality, service & value by the day.

Three visits over a period of time, each visit has been a Friday Lunch time and I have ordered the same £5 lunch menu each time, Fish finger on organic wholemeal side of fries.

1st visit: Early December 2014, it was excellent. It came on a nice large bowl plate, two decent sized sandwiches with good amount of Fish, decent amount of fries on the side, and slaw salad as well, and quick service they were ready for the Friday lunch rush. I was full I was happy. 5 Star.

2nd Visit: Early January 2015: Was OK but not the same as the first time, food came on a smaller standard flat plate, two sandwich pieces but this time smaller with less fish, and 20 fries on the side (yes I could count them individually) and No Slaw Salad, the plate looked half empty and the whole thing looked a bit cheap and amateur. I was 75% full, if this had been my first visit maybe I would have been satisfied but having been before and expecting the same, I was disappointed and felt a bit ripped off. Also my vegy friend was at a stump as they seemed to be out of stock of almost everything vegy including Salad!....Salad for peats sake!

3rd Visit: Mid-January 2015: Terrible disaster. This time the choice of bread has gone from 6 to two (white or brown). Just after we ordered the rush came in, the place went from the 5 of us to almost full in about 15 mins. The staff level was way under par, freaking ‘chef’ buzzer going off every two seconds for the bar man to come to back and take food out to tables. This time I got a single side of sandwich it was very small with just two fish fingers in there (yes I said two) and 18 fries on the side, again no slaw salad. When it was served I took one look and knew it was not going to fill me, at all! It looked like what a 6 year old would get served at a cheap kid’s birthday party. After I finished my ‘lumch’ in 5 mins, I went and ordered a side of fries (thinking that it would come very quick since every plate coming has fries on it, they are obviously frying up a lot) 20 mins later still no fries, I ask the bar man, he said ‘we are very backed up it will come when it comes’ it’s a single side of fries, just stick my order to the front you idiot!?!?!. I had a meeting so just left the place having not been served. Felt very ripped off and had to buy a second lunch from canteen at work.

Certainly won’t be coming with colleagues again and definitely won’t be bringing clients or...

I recently visited "The Bridge" pub with the old man, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. What really impressed us was how they remembered our drink orders every time we approached the bar - it's the little things like that which really make a difference. They made us feel like regulars on our first visit!

But let's talk about the food - it was outstanding! We particularly enjoyed the build your own burger option, which allowed us to customize our burgers exactly to our liking. The meat was cooked to perfection and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The sides were equally impressive - the fries were crispy and golden, and the onion rings were some of the best we've ever had.

Overall, "The Bridge" pub exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was top-notch. We can't recommend this place highly enough, and we can't wait to visit again soon! Five...
