I VISITED THIS RECENTLY OPENED DELI TODAY AFTER A LONG AWAITED OPENING, AND BOY WAS IT DISAPPOINTING :-( THE CHEESE WAS ALL VACUUM PACKED AND THEREFORE COULD NOT BREATH . NO FRESHLY MADE PASTA OR RAVIOLI ETC. NO FRESH OLIVE OR WALNUT BREAD. NO ANCHOVIES IN OLIVE OIL & GARLIC. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU VISIT SPECKS IN HOLLAND PARK OR THE ITALIAN CONTINENTAL STORE IN MAIDENHEAD TO SEE HOW A PROPER ITALIAN DELI SHOULD BE RUN. ERR WHOEVER DESIGNED THIS SHOP MUST BE ON HEAVY MEDICATION OR THINK THAT THE LOCALS WHO OWN SERIOUS MONEY PROPERTIES ARE IDIOTS, AND ALTHOUGH I REALISE ITS JUST ONLY OPENED,ITS DOOMED TO FAILURE UNLESS THEY RETHINK IT. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AS IT WOULD BE LOVELY TO HAVE AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN DELI IN THIS AREA , I DO REVIEWS FOR HAYDENS AND HOPEFULLY KNOW WHAT IS GOOD. ONLY TWO TYPES OF OLIVES AND NO BLACK OLIVES WITH HERBS OR STUFFED OLIVES ? ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH. SERIOUSLY I WOULD HAVE A SERIOUS RETHINK , VISIT SOME PROPER DELI'S AND GET SOME MORE COLD CABINETS ETC.. 5 stars – A Taste of Italy You Shouldn’t Miss

As an Italian, I can honestly say this restaurant offers one of the most authentic Italian dining experiences I’ve had outside of Italy. My wife and I came here for a wine tasting evening, and we were blown away. The selection of wines was excellent, and each glass was perfectly paired with traditional Italian dishes that were absolutely delicious — truly like being back home.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with that familiar, cozy feel of a true Italian Restaurant ,yet still very professional and well managed. The hosts were Italian and incredibly welcoming, which added a special touch to the whole experience.

I have been coming to La Cantina Del Vino since 2008. We decided to have dinner here for my brother's birthday. This is a family run restaurant that gives you the feeling you are eating at home. Massimo and Elizabeta make this restaurant what it is; warm, welcoming with excellent dishes served at the heart of it. The food is exceptional and this restaurant has maintained its standards throughout the years. All the dishes are worth trying but obviously not at one sitting.
