Seems VERY popular with the locals! On a recent visit to the area, each time we passed by from mid morning to late afternoon there was always a queue, although it does have quite a small customer area so can't fit many in at once. It also seemed to be open until later than most bakeries I know of, so may well continue baking throughout the day. Was only able to make a purchase once as it was difficult to see what they had to offer before deciding what to have, due to it being so busy and small inside. However what we did buy was nice and warm, and tasted very nice. Did want to visit again but it was busy(!), and didn't want to take the chance the locals consistently did and park on the double yellow lines outside whilst they went in. Read moreWe visited here earlier today. My son, who is slightly autistic, often gets very agitated when faced with a choice of lots of things. In this case he was having trouble deciding what cake he wanted. He was becoming quite stressed, and even though the shop was very busy, the lovely lady behind the counter told him not to worry and take his time. I don't know if the lady recognised his behaviour was an autistic trait, but the way she handled him, immediately calmed him down, so he was able to make a choice. God bless her.
On top of all this , the cakes were amazing and the Cornish pasties and sausage rolls something very special.
