It pains me to give a negative review to a local business. I’d much rather sort things amicably and not review. On arrival I was unable to see a price menu or a list of items and asked if there was a savory offering. I was told by the pleasant lady there were sandwiches or something off the breakfast menu. So I asked for a bacon roll. I waited patiently and when she said it’s nearly ready I stood up and observed an egg being placed on the roll. I’m allergic to eggs and said I just asked for bacon. Again the pleasant lady said no problem at all and a new one was ordered. When I got home and opened the wrapper the roll was small . It’s like those you buy in fours from Aldi. I tried it and the bacon was very hard. I was really disappointed as it was 5.50 . I also bought two cakes for my elderly mum and Auntie taking the total to 14 pounds. When mum heard they were 4.25 each and the roll was 5.50 and saw the items she was really upset. My wife phoned up and the nice lady said “ no problem. Bring it all back and we will give you a full refund.” At this point, although unfortunate ,it would have been the end of the matter . On return another lady spoke to us was extremely reticent to refund us. She felt we were wrong . She said I’d mistaken the order and was wrong. I started to feel uneasy as she became insistent I was at fault. I was offered a voucher and then eventually a five pound refund, but she would not honor the agreement the pleasant lady had made. At this point, I raised the issue that there were no prices displayed. The lady said she was a top end shop and inferred her customers didn’t need to ask the prices . I’m no expert but would have thought it was a requirement of the industry. I said it looked like an Aldi brioche . She said “a brioche is a brioche “ but didn’t deny it’s a Aldi product. There’s nothing wrong at all with using Aldi rolls but it didn’t seem consistent with the comment around “top end” and the 5.50 This developed into a difficult conversation and I was encouraged to go outside the shop. I explained that I didn’t want place a negative review but had no choice and she said she preferred this outcome as opposed to fulfilling the offer her colleague had made. I left the roll and cakes and in the shop, declining the 5 pound on principle. An unpleasant experience that could have easily been avoided.

Great little place, popped in to see if they had any pancake platters left to take away as my daughter has been pestering for ages. So glad we did customer service was brilliant and the pancake box even better. It had loads in it. 5 pancakes, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, a muffin a pain au chocolate, white chocolate buttons and chocolate stars which for around 7 quid really isn't bad and can safely say I have one very happy child. All in all a solid score of 10 and we will be returning soon

i have now ordered 3 boxes from Larder, Breakfast box for our anniversary, Breakfast Box for my parents as a treat and a large chocolate sharing box for the hardworking girls at work. each one has a been delivered on time. the boxes look attractive and bare a small note with a personal message from me. The croissants were fresh with small pot of jam, the buns gorgeous, the berries and chocolate were delicious. The overall look was incredible and everyone who received the boxes were amazed. These are a beautiful gift and we will definitely be using the...

Absolutely 5* service and amazing products. I got a chocolate graze box and a individual savoury and breakfast box. The chocolate box had all my favourite goodies from Buenos to galaxy to wispa bites. The savoury box had a selectiom of antipasti such as cheese wrapped in salami, sundried tomatoes and olives and a selection of cheese and biscuits. The breakfast one looked and tastes insane with pancakes, fresh fruit, chocolate sauce and chocolate and a muffin. All presented in a beautiful box and a handwritten note. 100%...
