THE AREA
Off the beautiful promenade, a little out of town but easily accessible via bus or tram. Usually plenty of parking spaces along the road too. On Red Bank Road, Bispham.
THE BOOKING
I left a voicemail and a very nice person returned my call promptly and booked me in. Table for 2.
THE WELCOME
Warm and welcoming. We got to choose our table.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Excellent measures in place. We felt incredibly safe.
THE STAFF AND A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO JOHN
Everyone was absolutely lovely. Our waiter John helped us to decide on which tapas to go for (we wanted them all as they all sounded amazing). Not only was John friendly (not overly) and efficient, but he went the extra mile. What came over to us is how happy the staff are in their jobs. You don't always find this!
THE DECOR
A simple Spanish tapas syle. Nice background music too. Pristine clean. Glasses hanging up were sparkling as were the mirrors in the drinks area.
THE MENU
Spoilt for choice. Specials board too. A cabinet filled with scrumptious homemade desserts.
THE FOOD
We love tapas. Lots of variety. We shared 5 different dishes, all amazing. As my title says, this is world class tapas. Well presented and very tasty.
Chicken in a cream and garlic sauce Salmon teriniyaki Garlic mushrooms on toast Monk fish Green beans with garlic, chilli, pine nuts and onion
Quality ingredients
My husband had the carrot cake and his face spoke a 1000 words. Delicious.
HOUSE WINE
We enjoyed a lovely (and cheapest on menu) rjioca. A good selection of wines etc. available.
THE PRICES
Very reasonable. You could make it a very cheap night out if you wanted to. Dishes from under £5!
We loved it here so much we bought gift vouchers for family members which speaks volumes.
Highly recommended. We...
Read moreA brisk cold January afternoon with my wife and 3 year old daughter. We decided to have a spot of lunch. As soon as they saw us heading in the direction of the restaurant a friendly waiter with a big smile held the door open for us as if to say "come on in, it's warm and we've got great food". We was made to feel instantly welcome. The decor is superb, extremely clean, great lighting and they cook just behind the bar area where you get the waft of amazing fresh cooking. The beauty of this place is that it caters from 12pm till early evening every day (closed Wednesdays), so you get a top quality restaurant experience in the middle of the afternoon, splendid! The waiters are super friendly, very smartly dressed and never keep you waiting more than a few minutes. Even the cutlery they use will make you want to re-invest in some good quality silverware for your kitchen when you feel how good it is! The food is as fresh as it comes, I had the 4 fish platter which was lightly fried with fresh mediterranean vegetables. It was presented beautifully and every mouthful was a burst of flavours from the mediterranean, i'd go back for this dish alone! When we left the waiter made a nice fuss of my daughter by fastening up her jacket and making her feel like she was a special little guest! A wonderful experience for a mid afternoon bite to eat! We will definitely be returning as we only live around the corner. You MUST sample the delights of this 5 star restaurant, it is an absolute gem of place. Keep up the great work, we shall...
Read moreWent with a party of 12 for a birthday meal, everything was first class. Fantastic service, and advice on the menu was really helpful. The food was beautifully presented, every dish of tapas was superb. I felt that we were spoiled, they treated us like family. A fantastic evening was had by everyone, we all came away raving about this little gem of a place. All round a 5 star place to eat. I would certainly recommend this to people to visit. The staff were probably the nicest most helpful i have ever encountered, a pat on the back to all. We will all be back. Spread the word, this...
