Service is incredibly slow - nothing against everyone working there, they're clearly under-staffed; as a result tables are left dirty and all the leftovers pile up as customers move them from table to table. Food is actually dire, anything that needs cooking/heating comes out tasting 'not right' and is usually cold. Toasties here should be called Soggies. Finally the queue is ALWAYS confusing. To me there 'appears' to be an obvious route for the queue to go, but till-workers call people from the back end of the queue which causes 2 awkward lines to form, one of which is usually MUCH faster than the other... This is unfortunate because I do usually like M&S Cafes, just not this one. There are plenty of other choices in Teeside Shopping - go...
Read moreWe visit pretty regularly usually for breakfast after an early shop, the cafe opening at 8.30 is handy. Service at the till can be a bit slow and food service, which used to be very quick, is now also pretty slow even when there aren’t many customers. We usually order a cou[le of bacon rolls for breakfast which have in the past been pretty good. So we were a bit surprised on our latest visit in early december 2023 to find that the bacon rolls are now what can only be described as ‘minuscule’. Read moreIt's an odd experience at any M and S cafe. The Teesside Park one is no exception, in my opinion it's disorganised. The queue is or can be confusing, I prefer it when a member of staff is allocating tables but I'm aware that isn't always possible due to staffing issues but with the installation of self serve only in the clothing department downstairs, I'm thinking M and S are trying to reduce staff on a big scale. The food in the cafe is usually good, Jacket potato's are my usual. Coffee is good too. Staff are friendly-ish but I think they have to do alot, I understand that so maybe they aren't that customer focused. I go when I'm at TP but I wouldn't make a...
