Mantra (Swindon) — Restaurant in England

We went to Mantra as a group of 4 on a Saturday evening to try the all you can eat and drink menu! We were not sure what to expect for the price but we were totally blown away. From the minute we arrived our waited Raj was absolutely amazing!!! He recommend dishes and made sure our glasses were never empty for the entire evening!! The food was amazing and the service was 1st class. We have eaten in some top class restaurants over the years and our experience at Mantra was definitely up there as a memorable one for all the right reasons. We were all really impressed with every aspect of the restaurant and service and would highly recommend you try it, especially on a Friday/Saturday night when Raj is working as you will not be disappointed... Four of us attended on a Thursday night for the £19:90 all you can eat and drink. The food was good, hot and tasty. We did order onion Bargies at the end of the night and we knew they were microwaved. However when it came to the bill we were shocked!!!!!!!!!!!

£19:90 x 4 = £79.60 but we were being charged £87. We questioned this and the waiter said (conditions apply and that stops at 11pm) we asked upon arrival if that offer is still on “at 11:30pm” and he said yes. We again questioned the bill and he kept referring to the conditions which are not published anywhere, not even their website which he said they were. Anyway after him not listening we gave him £80 and walked out (Never to return) this is not the 1st time we've had issues with this place. Their deliveries are a joke. Late and cold. So that's it. I have tried and tried (Never again)

Tasteless and rubbery. We ordered a meal and found the chicken to have a strange rubbery texture and the onion bhajis were dry, tasteless and soft. I called the restaurant after eating about half of the meal to explain the problems with our meal. Hanis (the owner) offered us a discount with our next order. I explained I did want to order again as I did not like the food and would prefer a refund, he refused as we had eaten some of the meal and my partner had binned his. He likened it to returning a jumper to a shop?? And that a refund after eating some of the meal was not possible. He said he couldn’t refund as we bought through Hungry House and then said he could but he would need to call them to request it. I advised I would not be leaving a favourable review. Order...
