McDonald's — Restaurant in England

Me and my friend went to get some food after a lesson at college before our bus at 1:05, lunchtime is always a really busy time there but 20 minutes has always been long enough considering the bus stop is right outside. We ordered at 12:40 and waited 40 minutes until we thought we should mention that we hadn’t gotten our food, we didn’t want to as we realised how manic it was but by this time our bus had been and gone. The man we spoke to was really apologetic and went to sort it right out, meanwhile we got talking to a lady next to us who was having similar problems and we mentioned that we understood it was busy but 40 minutes really is a long time considering it’s fast food, the lady behind the counter with purple ish hair and a nose ring interrupted and said that if we wanted it done quicker we should come into the kitchen and make it ourselves, she said the chefs were very busy and we needed to be patient (as if 40 minutes wasn’t long enough). We weren’t even that fussed that the food had taken along time but the way that member of staff spoke to us was so unnecessary as if she had been waiting this long she’d feel the exact same as we did and we weren’t even being disrespectful, which is what led me to this review! my trip to mcdonald’s truro was unfortunately ruined by a certain member of staff who circled the restaurant and shouted at anyone she could find a problem with. Multiple people in this restaurant had complained about her on the day but apparently this is a common theme with this member of staff. After me and my friends had payed for a big meal we sat down but unfortunately one of our friends could not afford a meal so was snacking on our food and having small snacks of his own dinner. we are fully aware of the rule of eating in the restaurant without mcdonald’s food and wouldn’t have mind being told if this staff member wasn’t so patronising and rude, explaining that she would kick us out if we didn’t comply. She then approached a young boy who had a chocolate bar and shouted at him saying “put it in your lunchbox now”. this is a mcdonald’s restaurant not alcatraz… people do not deserve to be spoken to in this manner, especially not young people. This is unacceptable behaviour and people do not need to feel threatened in a mcdonald’s menu. Hey! at least she gave gordon ramsey a run...

Less busy due to college not on. However car park is small and drive thru cars block the parking spaces. On arrival all seems well. But there's no staff to welcome you like most places. The screens were grubby and one had the receipt flap hanging open. Decided to use mobile order. Then noticed tables not cleared and bins full. As we sat down there's smoke filling up the restaurant I assume something was burning. Food was bought to us with the usual appology and smile. Plenty of seating and space. Sun was filling the space so had to sit furthest away. Toilets felt unclean but all was working. Next order of mcflurries, one was full of sauce and bits but the others got a lot less. Also not mixed up. Cleared some tables to help out. Assume they were understaffed. Again hardly any with stars on staff badges, so assume it's fairly new. And staff didn't seem happy although they didn't stop moving in all the time we were there...
