OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM DARWEN SERVICES MCDONALDS
First I went to ewood mcdonalds drive thru. I was in the drive thru for 20 minutes when I reached the window to pay. I said to the worker named Dominic "I've been waiting 20 minutes." His response was to shrug his shoulders and smirk and then say "what do you want me to do im going as fast as I can." I was absolutely gobsmacked that he couldn't even apologise for the 20 minite wait from ordering to getting to the window to pay!!! I asked to speak to the manager. He then came and I explained what had happened his name was Ben. He apologised and said they were short staffed and were going as fast as they could. At this point I refused my order as I wasn't paying to be treated like that!!
I then went to mcdonalds at darwen services and wow from the offset what a difference!! I was only waiting for about 30 seconds to order my food and the lady named Ellie said "sorry for your wait can I take your order please." I went to the window to pay to be greeted with a smile and outstanding customer service. I then go to the next window to be greeted with another smile and again excellent customer service. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. I then called the manager over to compliment them on the customer service I had received. Let's be honest no one expects much from any mcdonalds but from driving a couple of minutes down the road to a differemt maccies the difference was unreal!!!!
Well done to the staff at darwen services who even at 9pm in the evening can still smile and be polite with customers. I suggest the Ewood store take a leaf out of your book and give there staff the outstanding training that you have all clearly recieved and implement.
If I was David Duncan I would personally be embarrassed to admit the Ewood store was mine. They need to sort there management and staff training because it is shocking. Get the managers from Darwen store to train ewood staff on...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service. Visited last night after a long 4 hours drive home from a night away for a quick bite to eat. Checked our food order when driving off and realised they had missed a food item off. Not a big deal, it happens so we drove back through the drive thru to collect the missed item only to be met with the most appalling customer service and made out to be lying. Josh who was at the window had to relay the ignorant girls comments (who wouldn’t give her name and neither would josh give it to us) as she wouldn’t come to the window herself, mouthing off out of eyeshot saying “I PUT THEM IN THE BAG” only then to be asked to give our bag back so that they could inspect the contents. I mean how ridiculous, we are quite capable of checking the contents of a small bag to see if there is anything missing. They then gave us the missing item which incidentally is probably cooked to order (mozzarella bites for your information) and surprise surprise they were only luke warm, hard and inedible, probably because they had been sat there all the time and not in the bag in the first place. Some serious staff training is required, I don’t think I have come across such rude staff in a very long time. It is the principle of the matter that we wanted the paid for missed item. Read moreSo, I ordered two double chilli cheeseburgers because I LOVE a bit of spice, they sound amazing, etc… however, what I got was two doubles, completely plain, which was also annoying because I’m a pickle gal, I normally have extra pickles and there wasn’t even a slice of one. Secondly, it was colder than the weather has been recently. Not a fault on the driver as he arrived on time and the ice was still in the cups, not melted, so clearly a fault from McDonald’s. I don’t know how busy you were at 1am on a Thursday, but clearly very. Thirdly, the fry portioning was smaller than a small and it was meant to be a medium. Fourthly, when I tried getting through to them numerous times, just to let them know I had cold food and wrong items, and to get a refund on the wrong items considering I didn’t eat any of my cold, plain, nasty burgers, I simply couldn’t. The only reason this is getting two stars is because 1- the sprite was amazing & 2- my non fussy at all mate loved his bbq burger meal. Can’t lie- worst McDonald’s I have ever had and will probs go to the restaurant or drive through considering if I get a wrong item I can just replace it there and then, and it might not be cold, but I will not be ordering from you and recommend no one else does the same.
