I and my partner arrived at about 10.35pm and made our order to eat in. The restaurant closes at 11pm so we had time to eat and run or so I thought. We sat at a table and waited for our food which it did just over 5 minutes later so no problem so far but then it began. I do hate when McDonald's gives you half a portion of fries in the container which is what we both received. At the same time the music was interrupted by a vocal recorded announcement that they would soon be closing to obviously prompt customers to finish up and leave. We took the fries back to the till and asked if they could top them up as the amount was not correct. The young man apologised took the fries and told us he would get us some more. He then threw the returned fries in the bin. Whilst we were eating our burgers a couple of minutes later and waiting for new fries the vocal message played again but I didn't think much of it. However not one minute later it played again telling customers to finish up as they were soon to close and again another minute later. By this point we were the only ones left and it was 10.45. Another staff member was cleaning tables and I heard him say to someone "ok you can stop pressing the button now, they know". This is what made me aware that there was some rude member of staff in the kitchen repeatedly playing the time to leave message. Anyway our fries then turned up minus any obvious signs of spit or other tampering so we proceeded to finish our meals whilst listening to the time to go message another 3 times. We left at 10.53 having heard the message about 7 times in total. I'm 41 and do not suffer with any short term memory loss issues so do not need reminding every 2 minutes on average of my visit. To the management of this restaurant I suggest you find these staff members who were working in the kitchen on Thursday 30th January just before closing and lose the dead weight. Any member of staff that is dumb enough to treat the paying customer like this is exactly that, dead weight that will drag your business down. The guy cleaning tables is excluded from this as he was pleasant and apologised for his...
Read moreAs a delivery driver, even though of all the MacDonalds branches in Medway, this one has been the most pleasant experience when it comes to picking up orders and delivering to customers, but it takes one bad experience to put a bitter taste in one’s mouth. I got to this restaurant today to pick up 2 orders between the hours of 12pm and 1pm. I showed the first staff (a young female) I met (who was polite) my order numbers. She gave me the first one that was ready and told me the second one was coming and I waited for it to be ready. The second order was brought in by another staff member (older IC1 woman with a short blonde/white hair and not more than 5ft.4inches, slim or athletic build) whom I presume is a manager because of her shirt type. This older lady was of rude, condescending & overbearing in her approach towards me and overly scrutinising me like I’m some thief that came to steal food. Even as I was trying to explain to her that I showed the other lady the order numbers and I was only waiting on the second order to come so I can click accept and start my journey which I had already done when she brought the order and gave to me. She was literally on my neck and I even gave her my phone to see that the trip has been started, she still wasn’t satisfied. I have never been treated like that in my life. The type of embarrassing scrutiny she gave to me made me feel less of a human being and I had to tell her that I pick up food from that restaurant everytime and I’m surprised at her behaviour. I was in a state of shock and disbelief and the next thing she said was I was being rude and she threatened me with leaving a bad review on my account and I told her I wasn’t being rude to her and that should should not used that word on me. I have reported it to uber eats anyways, and I’m ready to take the necessary lawful steps to address this should the need arise.
P.S This has always been the behaviour of a good number of Macdonalds staff members towards...
Read moreVisiting as a walk in for this visit, wasn't disappointed this time around. Unfortunately, a few days before, we ordered from Uber eats from this restaurant and only received half of our order. The typical response from Uber eats was 'not their problem as we've had a problem before' which naturally must mean it couldn't possibly happen twice... We called the restaurant who confirmed half the order had been left at the store but they were not in a position to offer a refund, contact Uber eats for collection of the missing items nor allow us to collect the missing articles. Very disappointed with this service so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you don't order food via Uber eats, particularly if they accept no blame for missing food which has been paid for, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you don't order food for delivery from a restaurant that admits your meal has been left behind but refuse to assist in the delivery, collection or refund of the missing items and unfortunately for this branch, I will not use it again.
