Where do I start!
I'll put this in context.
My experience at this franchise tonight was far from the finely oil machine that is McDonald's, in fact it was more of a slapstick experience and I don't mean that with any joviality.
The Franchisee who runs all of the McDonald's franchises in Bedford and Northampton seriously needs to look at the business model of this restaurant, I use many of his other restaurants and they're fine from my experience, however this one is awful.
So what happened.
The person who took the order found it hard to understand what we actually wanted, and had to change her order a number of times, before we arrived at our basic Chicken Nugget meal with Banana milkshake, and a single Vanilla milkshake.
When we got to the pay window, the cashier was busy taking orders through a headset with equal difficulty that we had experienced, eventually we grabbed their attention after they had stumbled through Two or Three orders, they then couldn't find our order and attempted to palm us off with a chocolate milkshake, eventually we found the right order and progressed after paying to the pick up window.
That's where the fun started.
We where firstly passed a Strawberry and Vanilla milkshake followed by a long wait for a bag of food, I pointed out that we didn't order a strawberry milkshake, to which the waitress looked at the screen and stated. "Oh it says strawberry here". She the brought another milkshake. When we got home my Nine year old son pointed out that his milkshake was vanilla not banana which wasn't so bad, but to his disgust! The chicken nuggets where spicy and he couldn't eat them.
Summing up. They couldn't figure out what we wanted to order. They then couldn't find what we had ordered. Then we got a partial wrong order. And then end up with a completely different order than we payed for.
Priceless.

Read moreOne star review for this disappointing experience! After waiting 15 minutes at the drive-thru with only two cars ahead, I politely asked for a free order of fries due to the long wait. The response from the staff, especially the manager, was rude and unprofessional. As someone familiar with the fast-food industry, I know the wait time was excessive for a simple order. The customer service was disrespectful, lacked understanding and it was infuriating to see staff chatting to their friends and holding up the queue. To top it off, my order was also incorrect, I ordered 20 chicken nuggets but I received 16 badly over cooked nuggets. I won't be returning to any McDonald's in the future, as their service and quality control are both lacking. Trying to lodge a complaint on their website was also a frustrating experience. This unit in particular should improve its service before opening its doors to customers with such adolescent, grumpy and incompetent management. An absolutely shambolic experience from start to finish....
Read moreFirstly, I don't use McDonalds a lot, but if I do go it's this one I use. I have several things to say about this McDonalds. The new drive-though is OK although it can get clogged at busy times. The new ordering system seems OK but is a a bit slow and frustrating to use. Maybe they should've done a bit more client based testing before letting the public loose on it! It also means you have to queue twice, once to order and once to collect your food. When I don't use the electronic ordering I ALWAYS get the wrong food. I don't think there has been a single visit to this outlet when I've actually received what I've ordered using a member of staff. Sometimes it's because the order is taken incorrectly, sometimes it's because the people making the food don't know the difference between adding bacon and not putting in an egg. Lastly, just to make my frustration complete, if you try and send an email to them complaining via the website, it crashes! Why do I still use it? I can't deny the hash browns are...
