McDonald's — Restaurant in England

Ordered S&E McMuffin meal with a sauce. There was no hash brown in the bag. Obviously I ate the McMuffin.

Rang and told them, got told I would have to come back for a refund. Drove 10 mins to go back, and manager offered a refund of £1.39 !!! I said what about a refund for the whole meal, and she said she wouldn’t do that (£5.59). She wouldn’t refund the dip even though I had that in my hand and told her I bought it for the hash brown!!!

I made a 20 minute round trip to be insulted - £1.39 didn’t even cover my fuel! It is a shambles for McDonald’s and Kyra Enterprises to treat customers like this. It’s like ordering fish and chips, but not getting the chips, but being told you must keep the curry sauce!

Ridiculously poor customer services all over a few quid. I must say I was totally surprised, mistakes happen, but show some remorse and fix it!

Whoever is in charge of keeping the opening hours up to date needs to sort their life out. Advertising says it’s open 24 hours so as I was working a night shift I went at 3am, yet it wasn’t open. When I asked later in the day, the reason was due to covid they were closing at 11pm, which is understandable, but any indication of this would’ve been nice.

Tried to go a few weeks ago around 7pm and it was closed with no explanation on the outside.

Looked on Google to check it’s opening hours a few minutes ago (July 4th) where it says the hours were updated a week ago, saying it was open till 12AM all week, so I make my order on the app, go to the store at 11pm and wouldn’t you know it, it was closed.

That’s 3 times in the last month it’s been closed despite what several sources online have said. I WANT to make purchases here, but the open hours are so inconsistent and poorly managed. PLEASE sort...

For a brand new restaurant we were underwhelmed to say the least, most of the tables were all in a disgusting state, the only one that was reasonable had a mop bucket right next to it. We ordered table service, but it took a very long time to arrive. Food was great and hot when it finally arrived. However there is a lot of room for improvement.

Update from 10/08/2022. Back in the area so nipped in again hoping for something better than last year, cleanliness does seem to have improved which is a plus. Unfortunately when I got back to our caravan with our order, I realised that 1 drink was missing, my daughter's burger had cheese on it even though we asked for no cheese and no pickles, my wife ordered a cheeseburger without pickles, she actually got a double cheeseburger with pickles?
