What a perfect little spot for dinner this was, on a cold and windy November's evening. A warm welcome was found, along with nicely placed hooks for hanging coats near to your own table! Service was absolutely on point, with just the right amount of attention at just the time, with no sense of being rushed whatsoever. Notice was given regarding the rough amount of time required to prepare our mains, which was both helpful and appreciated.

The lamb en croute was a revelation, like tiny parcels of everything that makes a warm dinner on a winter's evening cosy. The pastry fell apart wonderfully, leaving the contents to simply melt in the mouth. Potatoes dauphinois were light and perfectly balanced, green beans al dente but still tender and tasty. The gravy blew my mind.

Desert was quite possibly the finest raspberry pavlova I have had the pleasure of eating. Light and yet filling, plated beautifully, and sweet yet not overpowering.

Perhaps the only part of the experience which topped the food, was the lovely welcome and friendly demeanour of the staff (one of whom I would assume was the owner or manager). Returning to the cold night, our departure was reminiscent of waving goodbye to friends after a lovely homemade dinner, and I can't think of a better accolade to leave in this review than that....

Considering the high rating this restaurant has, we were very disappointed with how bland the food was. We did complain and was asked if we would like something else which meant one was eating when the other wasn’t. But what irritated me was when the manageress made a point of coming to our table to tell us they had served this dish to others and no one else had complained! My partner and I have very different taste buds but we both tried their risotto and found it to be tasteless! The young waitress that serve us was nice hence 3 stars rather than the one I would give based on this manageress’s attitude. We were looking forward to dessert but by the time we got the replacement meal it was just too late in the night to eat anymore. There really was no great atmosphere in this small restaurant. Two stars for the food as my partner’s food was okay. I wouldn’t...

Good food and great service. The restaurant has been well laid out to ensure it is Covid safe. The staff have very good processes to ensure all are kept at a distance and things like cutlery and menus have also been considered to avoid additional handling by others. They have some good equipment to deal with air handling and I saw the staff cleaning hand rails and surfaces twice while we were having our meal. Onto the food, as always, it did not disappoint, very nicely cooked and presented, service was friendly and with a smile. We sat upstairs which was quiet and private. Downstairs is larger with a few more (safely laid out tables) those seeking a little more background noise may be better suited for downstairs? But for my wife and I who like our own company, upstairs was...

We were seated upstairs which is a lovely quiet area with only 4 or 5 tables. The service was fantastic as was the food. Whilst the food is not cheap it is definitely good value for money. The food was freshly cooked and we were allowed to eat and drink at our own pace without feeling like we had to rush because the next course was ready. A wonderful evening was had by all.

What a fantastic evening at Mojacs, went with the wife for our 3rd anniversary. Perfect decor, nice choice of back ground music, the staff were ever so nice but what topped it off for us was the food, we had a steak meal and it was perfect, even came with pepper corn source which was the perfect accompaniment. Well done mojacs people you really made our night, thankyou.
