Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in England

Went to purchase a pumpkin spiced Latte today and the server said that it was not available. When questioned why there 4 bottles on the counter on display and one of these had already been opened. She replied that it was seasonal. It's October and autumn and Halloween biscuits were on sale right outside the counter! Further into the store was the rather large sale of Halloween costumes and accessories. The lady replied that the bottles on display were only for sale whole at £10 per bottle. Sounds a bit peculiar if you ask me.Why display in the first place. Then when we sat down to drink our other flavoured lattes the tables and floor were sticky all around. As my grandson went to climb on a seat in the corner. We were informed that it was broken and unsafe! She said that she was quite worried about him falling through it!! Morrisons there was no sign or safety notice anywhere. It was not covered and was readily available for any victim at danger of an accident right there..Shameful service and under performance...

They get two stars because the staff are always friendly. Used to always be a good bet for a tasty, cheap meal with the kids. Took my little girl here today for the ‘kids eat free’ promotion. Mine was OK but what they gave her was pathetic, still expensive even at free. I’m not sure what the decision makers are going for with the cafe. They seem to fancy themselves as some sort of artisan, fancy feedery. In reality they’ve just started charging twice as much for half the food, that’s no better than what they’ve always served and then put it on fancier plates. They should know their role and stick to what they used to be good at - being a supermarket cafe serving a decent portion of simple, tasty food at a reasonable price. Me and my partner come here most Sundays for a cheap and reliable breakfast. Had the occasional send back with cold food but they have always sorted the issue straight away. We were forced to go to the till to order as the touch self service machine was out of order. We were greeted by a lady called Lynne who was highly unprofessional, and who quite frankly had a right face on her. She commented on what we ordered and made us both feel rather uncomfortable. Stopped us in our tracks as we ordered as she couldn't keep up (we only ordered 2 big daddy breakfasts) 100% most impolite person ive come across at Morrisons.
