Having been awarded Mid Cheshire curry & restaurant of the year for the 2nd year running I arrived with high expectations. It started well with a warm welcome, good atmosphere, an extensive menu & sensible prices. However, 2 of our party were coeliacs requiring food that was gluten free and unfortunately their knowledge and available options were limited. The wine list showed 2 ciders, Bulmers & Magners but no mention that the Bulmers was fruit flavoured. Even when Bulmers was ordered by 2 of our party this was not mentioned by the server meaning they had to be sent back to be replaced with Magners Original. Compeletely avoidable. The faux leather chairs looked solid but unfortunately had a slightly reclining back meaning no lower back support resulting in 2 days of a tight back. I left...

This had to be hands down, the worst Indian meal I’ve ever had.

After looking at the positive reviews we thought we’d give it a go and ordered, which said it would be an hour.

1hr and 45mins later it turns up, and well, all I can see is it is dreadful.

Chips are dry and looked oven cooked.

Naan bread looks like it was spread in butter and is soggy.

The balti sauce tastes so sour, it tastes like vinegar.

The chicken tikka masala is super sweet, with 6 pieces of chicken in I might add.

The onion bajhis were super dry and the rice was cold.

Really disappointed. As curry lovers, we had saved our first visit here for a special occasion. One meal was nice, the other was really poor. We didn't even touch the sauce, and when plates were cleared and asked whether we enjoyed our meals, we gently suggested that the sauce wasn't particularly nice and was aggressively told "it's the same sauce with every biryani served in every restaurant in the UK". We were then overcharged and when we pointed it out, the server got out a calculator in front of everyone and manually added every bill item up, and then realised they had in fact overcharged us.
