Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in England

Visited today around 1pm, to be told there was a 40 minute wait for food even though the restaurant area was pretty quiet and there were 4 staff members in the kitchen, a manager attended and assured us 10 minutes was more realistic, so we waited, the first meal came out 10 minutes after we ordered, the 2nd and 3rd were 20 minutes after so our party of 3 ate separately. The 2nd and 3rd meals had to be sent back as they were not sufficiently cooked! When they were returned all other elements of the meal were cold, but we were by then so hungry we ate the cold food. Every table in the cafe was piled with dirty dishes and half eaten food and floor was filthy with visible debris despite there being 4 staff members behind the counter! The toilets were an even bigger disgrace strong smell of urine, dirty floor and soiled tissue paper on top of sanitary bin and the toilet check for 2pm had been signed by staff and obviously not been carried out as the time was 2.05pm and no one other than myself was there. On the whole the store is unclean in all public areas, cold, extremely drafty and almost all staff encountered were unhelpful and uninteresting except the manager who came to our assistance, clearly a diamond in the rough! Dirty, disgusting overpriced rubbish!...

In all honesty, what a disappointment.

It began with going to the counter and showing that I’ve ordered food and drinks online and that it states to come to the counter. I was rudely spoken to and said “well I’m busy cooking your food, so get it yourself”.

Small breakfast, and a big breakfast were almost inedible - the amount of grease was unreal. After noticing that everything was either deep fried or microwaved.

The free kids meal was certainly not a kids meal, a fish finger sand which with salad, large chips and peas. No fruit, no drink, and totally not a kids meal.

Regarding the service the lady came over with the condiments and said “do you want any sauces? You’re allowed 2 each then it’s 10p each after that” - I said “oh you’re taking them away?” She said “yes because people steal them” - we were a family of 4, I doubt we will be stealing tomato sachets haha.

I’ve been to many Morrisons cafes and had many full english breakfast elsewhere too, and this has to be up there with...

Staff are very unpleasant. I went to order at the checkout and i said i was sitting at table 22, where the staff member proceeded to argue with me that there was no table 22 that existed. The table number clearly said 22. I was eventually able to order and our food was thrown on to the table, there was no cutlery, no napkins, no milk for our tea and the staff member who brought it didnt bother to ask if we needed anything, he just walked away. I understand that times are hard at the moment with COVID-19, but manners cost nothing and juat because you are paying half the price doesnt mean you should get half...
