Bad From Start to Finish.
Went in to Nandos Market place on 09.07.23 and ordered at 7.22pm. Host: Jade & Cashier: Charles.
Ordered humous pitta starter and two meals (beanie wrap and sides and halloumi mushroom pitta and sides).
Cost £31.25
Paid and told it would be 20 minutes so I said I would come back in as I would wait outside in the car. After 20 minutes I came back in was acknowledged with a nod so I sat and waited. After 5 minutes (total 25 minutes) the cashier Charles came over to me and informed they had no mushroom.
My first kneejerk thought was that none of my order had been started and why was it an option in the first place. Anyway after an awkward silence he offer to "add a bit more halloumi." At this point I just thought whatever so agreed.
Anyway whilst now waiting in the restraunt for the whole order to be started I witnessed what could be likened to a creche for youth offenders. Waitresses were self filling drinks and taking them behind the counter to drink whilst cooking, Charles had smacked a receipt out of another waitresses hand to the floor, one was dancing as if she was on a night out and another was on her phone then serving up plates.
*if management does read this you have the details of time and date be my guest to check, I'm sat by the till starting from 25 minutes from order until around 45 after order of the two meals.
Eventually the food is made and I leave and head home. I unpack the food and the starter (humous) is missing. I then have to go through the haphazard procedure of calling the restraunt. Eventually when the call is answered I explain the situation and she informs that I can come back and get the houmous to which I explain that is not feasible and my food is already cold. I ask for a refund to which she asks for my telephone number and email address. Three times I had to ask how I would recieve a refund after providing that information and she said she was unsure as "she was new and she would speak to her manager."
After doing so it's transpired she could only provide a voucher to which I said no as I do not intend to come back after the experience. After checking with her manager again "this is all she could offer." Still not happy but thinking I could go back again and the experience may be different I asked what the value of the voucher would be and she informed £5! The starter that didn't come was £4.50!
So in all I was messed about from start to finish, items were missing, had to call in and deal with an indaqueately trained individual and I could get a refund only in the form of a voucher so my only option is to go back in the future to spend more money on top of it to fund the circus act again.

Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Nando's in Derby City Centre, largely due to the behavior of the manager, Brandon. From the moment we walked in, his abruptness and rudeness were palpable. He didn’t even bother to greet us; instead, he immediately informed us that there were no tables available without offering any further details or an estimated wait time.
Brandon, who is of a short, slim build, with scruffy brown hair and glasses, had an attitude that was surprisingly negative for a manager. When we asked for more information, it felt like we were inconveniencing him. His lack of knowledge about the situation left us frustrated. To make matters worse, when we confronted him about his attitude, he simply turned and walked away, leaving us feeling ignored and disrespected. He even had a voice that, quite frankly, reminded me of a Chihuahua—high-pitched and yappy.
It's shocking to see a manager acting in such a negative manner, especially in a customer-focused environment like Nando's. I expected much better service from someone in a leadership position, and it’s disheartening to be treated this way. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no one deserves to feel unwelcome...

Asked staff member if there was a wait on food due to having an appointment else where in 45 mins time. Her reply was no, not at all. Placed order straight away. Sat waiting for over 20 mins, people that had placed theirs orders after us were receiving there food. Went up to the counter to see where our food was to see nothing being cooked on the grill. After speaking to a staff member he informed us the delay was due to the butterfly chicken being in the oven! Yet no one thought to tell us this when placing the order the girl we asked regarding food waiting time was the one who took the order too. Due to running out of time and couldn't wait another 10 mins or so we got a refund and left empty...
