Ola Coffee Co — Restaurant in England

I've noticed that they have advertised their new OLA pottery cups. I'm very surprised after all the negative reviews about the small cups with no handles, that these also seem to be small cups with no handles! People need handles on their cups for hot drinks. People want large cups with handles for their coffee. Coffee is expensive and we do not want half a cup for £3.70, or whatever it costs. People will just go elsewhere. Update: The aesthetics of the cup does not stop your hands getting burnt when you try to pick it up to drink from it! I appreciate that it goes with the ambience of the café, but personally I prefer lightweight porcelain mugs with a handle to drink from, although I know that would not really suit...

Visited here for the first time today on a club ride to Henley on Thames. The coffee shop is fresh, clean and airy with a great bike shop in the back and bike racks outside to lock your bike which they also can provide. Staff were very friendly and helpful with a great energy about them. Coffee's on offer were a great selection with a lot of pastries on offer which were very nice! ( I recommend the cheese and marmite one👍). There were only a couple of things I would say and they were only small things, as a cyclist I would have liked to see more cakes on offer and the coffee cups are more of a small tumbler size, but was only a small minor for me. Parked-up to grab coffees to take away for a group When I placed an order I was asked if I had brought my own cups ?! “- What ?! NO, I didn’t bring my own cups ! Why would I bri…. what ?!!”

They say it’s to minimise waste ! I was offered to purchase some kind of edible cup as an alternative, the order came and I asked for lids because I was driving away sorry we don’t do plastic lids 🙄

I had to carry 5 coffees away with no lids, half the order went down my left leg on my way out the store 🤬

Measures to reduce waste are fine, but this model does not work - needless to say this experience ruined my morning, I won’t be going back
