What on earth happened?? This place used to be lovely. Ok so the food wasn't spectacular but it was nice. The garden was a pretty setting to eat in and staff were pleasant. We normally visit a few times when we are over. In may the food was good. September it was awful!! The staff were pretty useless. We arrived at 11:45am only to be told there was no hot food until 12. Fair enough but could we order our food, just get our drinks and have the food as soon as it was time? No! We'd have to wait. I wish we hadn't bothered. I had omelette and chips. It arrived... Well two weird brown things with the texture of rubber arrived..with a small over cooked baguette?! I asked for the correct meal. The omelettes came straight back with chips that I suspect were taken from my sons and husbands plates. Theirs were both seriously short on chips. My son normally loves the chicken burgers. His arrived with 1/4 of a very dry chicken breast. And 8 chips!! His burger bun was covered in chilli...from my husbands chilli burger. That looked dreadful. He will normally eat anything but it was awful. The waitress never said a word when we explained that the food wasn't up to usual standards.. She just walked away. That's the last time we eat there. Also just to add..disabled access is pretty poor. No disabled toilets. And the table for disabled customers was no different...

When you are in Godshill you need to have a cream tea! Very close to the large, free (!) car park, the tea rooms are very easy to get to and attractive looking. We went on an extremely hot day but managed to find a shady spot outside near the bushes - we were a little concerned about wasps as we were ordering sweet food but none even looked at us let alone tried to eat our jam. There was a sign as we went in which said there may be delays due to staff shortages but although it was busy it didn't take long at all, two young girls were running around in the 30 degree heat but everyones food seemed to come out quickly and they did a great job. We ordered a very reasonably prices cream tea for 2 - the scones were absolutely lovely, i presume home-made on the premises, and they were so light and fluffy, possible the best scones i have ever had and believe me, i have had a few! Plenty of jam and clotted cream, we also had tea, coffee and two very large milkshakes, all of which were really nice. Looking around at what others were eating makes me feel the rest of the menu will be as nice as the scones. So, great position, great food at reasonable prices, and very good, friendly and efficient service, I would heartily...

Whilst visiting Godshill we went here for lunch. Lovely gardens and nice seating outside. Inside it was a bit more old fashioned cafe style. We helped ourselves to a menu and found an empty table. To order you have to go to the ordering hatch. The lady was a bit robotic and had no personality. The food seemed quite expensive for the place. I asked about sauces and she directed me to a dummy waiter inside. On the plus side there was a large variety of suces but on the down side it was all small sachets. The drinks came quite quickly served by a young lady. One of the glasses was actually plastic. The food was served by a young man. I think all the serving staff were very young probably in thirr first job, but they were all fine. The food was not very good. Baguettes were very simple. We ordered a sausage baguette and a chicken mayo baguette. Mine had no butter and the sausages were really really cheap. The chicken tasted liked boiled chicken. I can only sum it up with cafe quality food at restaurant prices. I felt £31 was far too much. Your paying for the location. We wanted jacket potatoes but not at these prices. Sorry but I won't...

Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. Everything is served on disposables, no cups, cutlery or plates. Butter, cream, jam are all packeted - felt like a scone from a supermarket. Then all that rubbish gets mixed together and chucked, no recycling. Today was especially windy, and all of this litter was blowing out into Godshill. The staff were doing their best to keep the place clean, but it was just a mess. The staff were nice and friendly, working really hard. I'd recommend finding a smaller place.

A fantastic Tea Room and Outdoor Cafe, with Gift Shop and Ice Cream Parlour. We popped in for an Afternoon Tea, plus light refreshments and the food was amazing. All dishes were hot, fresh and exactly as ordered. Portion Size was generous and prices very good. They accept cash and card payment, with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. There is also toilet facilities available and the building is accessible. Definitely worth a visit.
