The Olive Garden — Restaurant in England

This really is about the food/drink. I understand prices have gone up, but the menu should at least reflect what you get. When I order an Americano I expect it to be from a proper coffee machine. It was instant. When chips are advertised as triple cooked, I expect it to be so. I can’t even tell you what was in this Veggie Dirty Fries. It was pretty disgusting. I hate it when people complain for the sake of it, but I also believe people should know in advance when you’re being ripped off. There was a mixup with our order, these things happen, but when we went to address it with the lady behind the counter, she was incredibly rude and made out like it was our fault. The other wait staff, all of whom were younger than the lady who’d spoken so rudely behind the counter, were friendly and polite. If the rude lady is the owner, she’s setting a terrible example to her younger staff, if she’s not, she’s an awful draw back for whomever is. Absolutely horrendous attitude of the staff. My family and I came to this cafe expecting lovely food as it was our first time in the Isle of Wight. However we ended up receiving the worst attitude and looks from the staff in this establishment, many whispers and mutterances as we entered the cafe ( FYI we are of Indian ethnicity) we were given very strange and odd looks and made to feel as though we were not welcome.
