Although the last experience wasnt the most pleasant I still thought I'd give the place the benefit of doubt.. However my visit today was extremely disappointing.. the place really needs to improve on customer service especially from loyal customers who return expecting things to be improved. Like I said last time it used to be a good place were staff made an effort n food was tastey. This time unfortunately my pasta was soggy n bland.. when I called the waiter he took my plate away and came back to say.. "this is the best the chef can do either don't eat it or order something else" I ordered what I wanted to eat and if the pasta chef was off then tell me before u get an inexperienced chef to experiment with my food! When I told the waiter what I thought he decided to offer me a dessert instead... I came to eat a meal with my husband not have ice cream!! He then attempted to go back and explain this to the chef who I could hear from my table wasnt pleased with my feedback! My plate was bought back to me having been reheated to dry up the pasta... I'm not an idiot however I was jst fed up at this point as I could clearly see no one was interested. To top things off we had to ask for our drinks at the table after receiving our meal and mid meal having asked twice for sauces they eventually bought them out. We were the only seated customers so being busy or lack of staff is not a reasonable excuse! I'm sorry but my plate was left untouched however I still had to pay ÂŁ7.95 for a plate of pasta I did not even eat... The least your member of staff could have done is seen the uneaten plate and unsatisfied customer and waive the charge!!

I arrived about 18:05hrs and my order was taken at 18:20hrs which is not too bad however my food arrived after 19:00hrs. I went up to the counter twice to enquire about my food as I had to leave for work at 19:30hrs. The waitress was not helpful at all and told me there is a delay as there are lots of orders (but all the other tables had no food on them either). When the food finally arrived my food was overcooked to a point it was chewy and inedible (I ordered a t bone steak - medium well). I sent the food back (anyone who knows me will know that Iâm not fussy when it comes to food so imagine how bad my food had to be for me to send it back) and was still charged full price for it. They did offer to replace my food with a sizzler however I was short on time and could not wait around for another hour for some more food to arrive. My brother had a chicken steak which comes with 2 sides. I ordered 2 however we was only given one. I ordered and was charged for an extra sauce for my steak and I did not get this either. We also got a chicken pasta (which didnât have a single piece of chicken in it and tasted like something youâd get on an all inclusive holiday). I got icecream (scoops icecream is the best) on a cone as we were leaving but the cone was stale! Overall the food was appalling as was the staff. I have been to other Scoops branches and I can honestly say this is by far the worst. I do enjoy food and desserts at the other branches and used to enjoy this but I wouldnât recommend the normanton branch to anyone.    Read moreI went here after ages with my Mrs and to my surprise the place was empty on a Friday night! So we went in anyway as we liked it before and we ordered 3 buffalo wings, classic cheeseburger and a platter for one... Well all I got to say is you need to have a huddle and give your staff some ultimatums, get your ass into gear or get out! We went in and no one even came to serve us for 7 mins despite 2-3 people seeing us sat there with no menus, anyway we got served and the guy apologized so that's all good, we get our wings and found a hair in it, then we called over the waitress who was too busy flirting and swapping numbers with 2 other guys, even other customers shook there head at her, when she eventually came and took the wings she said the chef said he can't do anything about it and just took em back as we didn't want em, then my wife's burger was RAW in the middle so this time I asked for the chef instead and said what do you think you're playing at, so he replaced the burger, but by now my Mrs had enough and got it packed but threw it in the bin outside, the platter on the other hand was ok, the seekh kebab is lovely the chicken tikka needs to be cooked longer.
