We came hoping for brunch. I think I wrongly expected this to be a sort of health food cafe, and I expected all of their ingredients to be organic. It’s more of an Italian deli with lots of cold meats and cheeses rather than salads/fresh veggies. We stayed for a drink as not to leave empty handed. The Lemon Tea was nice. My partner had a coffee and did not enjoy it. I then asked to use the toilet and was told there is a public toilet the other side of the car park. It was my understanding that establishments with more than 10 seats must provide a toilet for their customers.
Update due to the response of the owner. I didn’t say you are ‘only’ an Italian cafe, but your name OrganiCafe certainly mislead me, whether that’s intentional or not, I am not assuming. But I will accept your apology that you did not live up to my expectations. You are welcome to take a look at the other reviews I’ve left on google, the overwhelming majority of places I visit get 5 stars, I’m not that hard to please. My review was very honest and truthful, it would be better for you to take on the feedback rather than write a reply like you have. I will be back to Fowey but I would certainly never try your cafe again now. You tell me I should be more careful with what I write, well I apologise if I have made a mistake about the toilet rules… I still would never return. I’m updating my review to 1 star, due to the rude and threatening reply to my...
Read morePossibly the best panini I have ever had. This family run Italian cafe and deli is a true gem and worth making a special trip to North Cardiff for but if you live in the area a weekly breakfast/brunch/lunch pilgrimage is a must. They have a huge variety of loose teas and a number of single estate organic coffees with which you get a number of milk options. You can have any of the cake/croissant/pastry options or choose from the soup, panini and salad menu. All the ingredients are fresh and the ciabatta bread is light and crisp and perfect. In addition there are huge stacks of panettones priced from £2.40 to £25 and a range of olive oils, vinegars, pesto, cheeses and other potentially brilliant Christmas presents. The service was also perfect. The layout suits families, couples and lone eaters using their laptops! Lucky North Cardiff and I’m so glad my daughter now lives down the road...
Read moreStill our go to cafe, a year on. If you’re in Fowey, go! The food quality is great and the coffee smooth plus the welcome is always joyful.
Continue to love this little cafe. It’s become our regular locally. Not only do we love the welcome from Italian owners Micaela and Luca but every mouthful of food is delicious and fresh with the best ingredients. The coffee is smooth and delicious. We cannot fault it and return week after week. My husband and I share the caprese salad and an Italian pork and marscapone focaccia as we love the flavours. The cakes are amazing and all fresh...
