Origin Coffee — Restaurant in England

Harbour head used to be decent, but today's visit was a real let down:

1. the Barista had decided he was in a bad mood and would not say a single word to me. I tried my best to be friendly but he was not having it. When I asked what coffee was on batch brew he simply huffed, held the bag up to my face then put it down.
2. The espresso options were poor: just the standard "resolute" blend and the decaf option. Usually there's a single origin option available but not today.
3. i ordered a cortado and the espresso was really, really bitter and overextracted. Loads of milk had been added so it was more like a flat white. Luckily the excessive milk took the edge off the awful espresso.

I understand that public facing roles during the summer can be hard work and you have to deal with some awful people, but please don't assume everyone is going to be the same.

Its really sad to see Origin go so down hill, the harbour head shop was once a 'must visit' spot for speciality coffee in West Cornwall, but not any more. If I wanted poor service, bitter coffee and tonnes of milk I'd visit anywhere else and pay less. I'll be visiting the roastery during my time down here (as usual), but I'm not going to get my...

Another Origin coffee shop which hasn’t failed to amaze me once again. Located just on the bridge looking over the harbour in Porthleven, this coffee shop really has the best spot with the best coffee in the area.

As you expect from Origin, great tasting coffee made by baristas who know their stuff, immaculate store and a really nice vibe all round.

Unfortunately, they weren’t doing their drip coffee on the day we went so we missed out, but we were offered the batch brew which tasted really great and we were also provided with a tasting and info card with our coffee which was very nice.

This shop is a must visit if you’re in Cornwall, even more so if you’re a coffee lover. It’s one of the best things about origin, that you can visit a London based origin shop, a Cornwall based shop or have beans delivered to your house and the quality will always be...

I’ve visited twice this week with the same staff member…extremely unwelcoming almost verging on uncomfortable sitting in the cafe as I was the only one at this time…tried to make conversation with the girl and she gave me a uninterested response without looking up from her phone. This is the second visit with this staff member and the first visit was even worse. When I walked past the window my instinct was to keep on walking and go somewhere else as there is plenty of cafes in the village but I ignored and then totally regretted it. The service sucks and does not make your Saturday morning coffee enjoyable.

I have to say Sarah who also works here is the total opposite, you couldn’t feel more welcome and her coffees...
