Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in England

They were fine few times I ordered before, but today was just ridiculous and it’s funny, cause I ordered from them almost all the same stuff and everything came as it should. I customised my pizza to have no chillies on it and yesterday that’s what was taken off of it as I asked. Today however they decided to disregard it and just sent me pizza with chillies thinking I won’t realise. Well, I did. I customised it to not have it cause I CANT HAVE CHILLIES AS IM ALLERGIC. Thankfully spotted said chillies, my bf tried it and confirmed they were indeed chillies, so I didn’t touch it, but if I did I’d be on the way to the hospital now. Moreover, ordered cauliflower wings, they sent potato tots. Called them about it, said they didn’t have cauliflower wings so they sent potato tots and as a compensation they’ll send cauliflower wings and a large pizza for free upcoming Tuesday, which I doubt they will but I’ll update this review on Tuesday to confirm if they’re liars or not. Ordered normal pepsi max, got cherry one. It took 1.5 hours for them to deliver food I couldn’t even eat, cause they didn’t customise it like I asked and my allergen was on the pizza that was for me and my cauliflower wings didn’t get here either, so yeah. Appreciate keeping me hungry and almost putting me in the hospital/killing me. After 40 minutes of food showing as our for the delivery I called in, lady picked up and confirmed my order is out for delivery for over half an hour already and should be with me in 5 to 10 minutes. It wasn’t. After additional 25 minutes my bf called, another person picked up and said they JUST SENT OUT my order. My bf confronted the guy and said his colleague said something different just half an hour ago, but he denied everything and said the order just went out and that was it. After that phone call took 20 minutes to get here, so I don’t know which one of them lied. Anyway, if you have allergies don’t order from them, cause they don’t always care about your customisations as shown today. They really are lucky my bf spotted those chillies cause it really would be a life and death situation if I ate it. Waiting for Tuesday to see if they really send me free cauliflower wings and large pizza. But yeah, I won’t place the order with them anymore. I don’t appreciate being lied to and I don’t want to drop dead cause they don’t customise items all the time. I guess they just choose which day they care enough to do so and which ones they don’t and send whatever. Also, they don’t give reward points anymore even tho they tell you they do after placing every order....

Got scammed for a £20+ Valued pizza with about 5 extra toppings customise special pizza, delivery driver just ran away without making sure it was okay before we could barely say anything, called the restaurant immediately as checked outside immediately and he was gone, and they’re now dodging calls, and so is the app dodging the complaint, didn’t let us know there was going to be no pizza and haven’t refunded us either. The pizza cost most of the order, was left with a couple of chicken legs and a philly mushroom papadia thing, and some ice cream which isn’t a meal for two adult people, so we now barely have any dinner to eat. Cost almost £50 in total, if it wasn’t for the “Deal” making it down to half price we would’ve been scammed even more. Never using this terrible service again. Last time it was terrible too. Night ruined. We now have not much dinner to eat. We got this because we couldn’t get shopping this late. This was also the last of my money and it was supposed to be a treat. Should of learned from the first time but there we go. Don’t order take out from here!

When I ordered from a place that mainly sold pizza I kind of expected to get a least a pizza.

Note: also the delivery driver ran off so fast didn’t check it was okay when they finally got out of the car after screeching the horn loudly, there were 4 people in the delivery drivers car being incredibly rowdy on our quiet street screeching there horn over and over again very loudly and yelling and children live here who were in bed and it’s a school night. Disgusted by the behaviour and disturbance when they could just be looking for the door number like a normal person. Or people. Who needs 4 people to deliver a bag with barely...

I ordered from this place within a week of it opening and the food took ages to arrive. When it did it was cold and the delivery driver was off with me too for no legitimate reason. Unsurprisingly, it was a year before I ordered from them again, hoping they’d have their act together by now. Unbelievable, my experience this time around was far worse! Half an hour after ordering, I received a call asking if I was able to come and collect. If so my pizza would be ready in twenty minutes and I could have another large pizza of my choosing for free. I agreed to collect and asked for an American Hot. When I arrived twenty minutes later as requested, I had to wait even longer. When the pizzas came out they were the wrong ones, so I had it out with the guy on the till and then waited for the correct pizza. After more time, I was told they’d run out of some of the ingredients, so I ended up with another incorrect pizza and a load of wasted time! All the while, roughly half a dozen people filed in with the same complaint. Some had been kept waiting for two hours! This establishment was being ‘run’ by young people who, whilst letting us down, had clearly been let down themselves by inadequate training and management. At the very least there should have been an older, more experienced manager on site to check everyone was fulfilling their specific role and orders were being correctly made and delivered. I’ll leave it another year before I order again and if by some miracle this place is still operating, then I’ll collect! Whoever holds the franchise is...
