Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in England

Put an order in at 10.53pm and the order was accepted, I received an email not long after stating there was a problem with my order and to call. I called in and was advised they close at 11pm and they had cancelled the order. I checked my account this morning to find that I had been charged for a cancelled order. I have then called the shop this afternoon to ask why I had been charged if I received nothing to be told if they had cancelled the order I would receive a refund in 4-5 days! The young man on the phone didn’t even ask for an order number,name or address to check if the cancellation even took place or if everything went through properly. I have no issue with them cancelling the order other than it just shouldn’t be possible to order past a certain time if the establishment is closing at 11, also with most fast food places you receive a cancellation notice email to confirm the cancellation and the funds are not taken from your account until the food is out for delivery. I am almost certain the order was not cancelled properly...

Had a xxL pizza, collection, pizza was Mexican B Orig, and Half BBQ Chicken. After waiting 20 mins, my Pizza was given to me and I took it home, on opening the Box at Home, The contents was Terrible, the Pizza had Very little toppings, the edge of the pizza was around two inches thick, and around 3 inches where there was no Timor’s sauce or toppings, and when trying to pick up pizza, it just fell apart due to the paper thin base which was 60 % of the pizza, as most of the Dough was on the Edges, on informing the staff at Papa Johns, showing them the photos of the above complaint, they just looked at me and said sorry, This was not the answer I was looking for, considering they are one o 3 pizza bars next to each other. This store has gone down hill since it first opened, we've had the odd minor issue in the past, missing dips, a missing topping here and there, late delivery, but the last time we ordered was the nail in the coffin. The pizza arrived late and it was cold, some of the toppings were missing again, we asked for a refund but they are trying to fob us off with two free large pizza's saying they can't refund us because we didn't return the order to store, the fact is we weren't asked to return it to store, we were told to email for a refund. But anyway, don't want anymore of your subpar pizza thank you, we won't be ordering again, the customer service is nonexistent, a far cry from the tight ship they run...
