The Dook as we locals pronounce the name is a pub of many happy and everlasting memories made with friends since it became my local 15 years ago..always a friendly reception from other locals/punters when you arrive for a few pints after a hard day. Good variety of beers in tap, abundance of spirits with specials and more tha enough bar staff to cope with the demand when it gets busy. Live gigs and karaoke on most weekends..plenty of parking and if you had a few too many then they will sort you out with a taxi.
Good atmosphere amongs the variety of punters which frequent the Duke at any day whether it be during the week or weekend..some are part of the furniture already which is what I like in a traditional pub. Prices are in line with most pubs and not too expensive, a pint of Carling and a pint of Guinness for £6.00...
