Park House — Restaurant in England

We had booked 2 tables one table which was for a party. Even though the food was lovely I am giving it a 1 star due to very very poor customer service. We decided first to order a drink at the bar downstairs and was ignored by the two men for 5 minutes before being served and once served their customer service was non existent. We then proceeded upstairs to sit down. We were greeted by a girl called Lauren who quite frankly needs to go on a course for dealing with customers from beginning to end we all felt she was very rude and unhelpful! At one point we presented to birthday girl with her cake and throughout she tried her best to just ignore us. As she went to walk past I asked if we could have a knife and some plates and she just walked straight passed and ignored me. No initiative either to think 'let's get these customers some cutlery for their cake'. I then had to go and find her and ask and when we were handed the plates they were dirty. After paying at the bar upstairs the guy at the bar looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but there!! One thing I will say is there was one lady and I'm really sorry but I can't remember exactly her name (may have been Gemma) but she was fantastic great customer service and went out of her way! I am also a mystery shopper and park house should be happy that I wasnt allocated this restaurant to review. No welcome on arrival. Customer service is appalling, Stuff on the menu wasn't available and the food was dreadful. One of my party had a vegetarian jacket potato. It arrived with no salad dressing or cheese. When we asked for these, the waitress said she would speak to the kitchen and then went back behind the bar. The dressing arrived and we were told that it didn't come with cheese. I showed another staff member the menu and said it should have come with cheese. The waitress then asked if we wanted a pot of cheese or some melted cheese. We said a pot and by the time it arrived, the jacket potato was cold. The potato was horribly dry and the skin uncrispy. We were asked if we enjoyed our meal and I pointed out how dry the jacket potato was. There was no apology or an offer to replace it or remove it from the bill. We asked for an Earl Grey tea, but they didn't have any. We asked if there was green tea, but there was none of that either. Two tea pots arrived with a half pint glass of milk. I asked if they didn't have milk jugs either? To be fair, it wasn't the waitresses fault, but clearly no proper training has been given. Used to be a great place. Is a lovely building itself and since they added pizzas to the menus that would be "freshly" cooked me and my wife would go their frequently as returning customers. Last two visits have not been at all satisfactory. Last time a relative treated the family to a dinner; however both mine and my wifes pizza came wet, juicy, cold and undercooked that left us not finishing half the pizza and ending up feeling sick. This time aka today we went in to give it another go and whiles the pizza was warmer this time it still was undercooked. We had asked for extra toppings but the chef clearly threw too many extra toppings on and cooked the pizza too quickly, which led to a lot of the toppings not being fully cooked, the tomatoes and pizza dough in the middle undercooked with damp, cold cheese that to be honest was sickening. The best part of this pizza today as we as usual ordered stuffed crust was the stuffed crust. Usually there is excellent customer service and you always get asked if your meal was okay but there was none of that today. Last time they were exceptionally busy so we gave them the benefit of the doubt but this time they were not busy with only 3 other sets of customers eating there. Very dissapointing. We said to each other that next time we will just have a burger or a pizza instead but after these two past experiences we have decided that we will not return there any more and you have lost two...
